March 8, 2025 will forever be the day I reached ONE MILLION SUBSCRIBERS on YouTube!! 🥹😱🥳🥰🤩 I’ve been feeling all the feels lately and can’t believe this incredible milestone has finally been reached after 17 years of making videos. 🎬 All I can say is, THANK YOU for supporting what I do and helping to make this possible. 🫶🏼

It was in 2008 during summer break that I randomly decided to create a YouTube channel after seeing other people post covers and thought, “that looks like fun!” 🎶 With just my built-in laptop webcam & mic, I uploaded my first cover song (“Way Back Into Love”) and waited to see if anyone would watch it. 👀 A couple days later, I received my first comment from a stranger saying they enjoyed my cover and decided that was validation enough to keep going. 😂

A few months later, I’d start sharing covers of me singing while also playing guitar. 🎸 A couple of people started asking if I could show what chords I used, so I recorded my first official guitar tutorial (“Goodbye” by Miley Cyrus) and saw an uptick in views as well as comments requesting I post more tutorials for other songs. 💬 It wasn’t long after, that I realized this format is what people wanted to see and I decided to dedicate my channel entirely to teaching guitar. 💪🏼

Now I’m in my 30’s and realize my YouTube journey has been one of the most consistent parts of my life. 🙌🏼 (In a couple years, I will have officially been making videos on YouTube longer than I haven’t been! 🤯) Whenever I changed schools, jobs, cities, relationships or life stages, the one thing that never wavered was my love for making music and the joy of teaching it to others. 👩🏻‍🏫 It’s led me to my current reality of being a full-time content creator and entrepreneur! 🍾

So all of this is just to say, I couldn’t have done any of it without you. 🙏🏼 Whether you’ve been watching my videos since I was a teenager or just discovered them today, I want to thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for making my wildest dreams come true. 💕 Because of every click, tap, comment, share, subscribe etc. you take the time to do, it’s helped me build my channel one day at a time for the past 17 years. 🥺 I’m so incredibly grateful for your kindness and support and can’t wait to see where we can grow from here. 🦋 Cheers! 🥂

Today is my YouTube channel's 16th birthday! 🥳🎈🎊🎂🎉

Can you believe I've been making these videos for the past 16 YEARS?? 😱 It almost seems unbelievable to me that I've been at it for so long... 😳 Sometimes I'll get comments from you guys that say things like: "I remember learning from you when I was in middle school, and now I'm graduating college" or "wow, I learned how to play my first song from you like 12 years ago" and it just blows my mind every time I think about that. 🤯 I'm so grateful to all of you - from those who've stuck around since the beginning to those that subscribed yesterday! 🙏 You all have helped me build this channel to what it is and I have so many plans for new ways to help you have FUN while learning guitar! 🎸

There have been plenty of ups and downs over the years - everything from navigating platform changes to overcoming personal struggles, but one thing that hasn't wavered after all this time is my love of teaching and sharing the joy of making music. 🥰 And one HUGE reason I'm able to stay consistent with new content now is because of the support from my absolutely incredible patrons! 🫶 So I wanted take this amazing milestone moment of 16 years on YouTube to thank everyone who helps make this life possible; I can't begin to describe how much your love and support means to me. 💕 THANK YOU! 🦋
