Ethan Klein has confirmed he is appealing the Denims copyright ruling.
After reviewing the issues in the case, I believe the appellate court will reverse this decision. In my view, the ruling gives insufficient weight to the amount of copyrighted material used and the potential impact on the original creator’s audience and revenue.
If this ruling stands, it could have significant consequences for independent creators who rely on copyright protection. I’ll be watching the appeal closely.
