This last winter I was severely struggling with seasonal depression. Unmotivated, disconnected from myself, and honestly just trying to get through each day. One day, out of impulse more than anything, I signed up for a CRS class. At the time, I didn’t even fully know why… I just knew I needed to do something different.
After 80 hours of in person training, learning, and attending a class I enjoyed (especially cause I had an amazing teacher) last week I passed my test 👏🏽
I’m sharing this because depression will convince you that nothing will ever change. It’ll tell you you’re stuck. But sometimes one impulsive decision, one uncomfortable step.. can completely change your direction. I’m grateful I didn’t give up on myself during a season where I truly wanted to.
Growth doesn’t always start with confidence. Sometimes it starts with pain, desperation, and simply refusing to stay where you are.
Somehow God took these two individuals who were on the verge of death and placed them in each other’s lives. Looking back at where we both once were, it’s hard to even put into words the transformation that has taken place. Two broken people, both fighting battles that at one point felt impossible to survive, were brought together by grace, healing, and purpose. Where addiction tried to break us, God brought restoration. Today we stand here not as the people we used to be, but as a living testimony that recovery is real. Love is real.. and miracles still happen every single day. From darkness to light, from hopelessness to a life filled with faith, family, and gratitude. Never let your current situation convince you that God is finished writing your story ❤️👏🏽
Everyone help me wish Brielle a Happy Birthday 🥳 Today she turns 8. To this day it still blows my mind that I’m a father. Brielle, I want to Thank you so much for playing a part in saving my life ❤️ Hannah, Jaxx and I love you so much 🥰 You’ve brought more light, love, and laughter into my life than I ever thought possible. Watching you grow into a smart, strong, sassy little soul has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Being your father.. I don’t take these moments for granted — not one bit. There was a time I wasn’t sure I’d ever get to be the kind of dad you deserve… but today, I’m right here. Fully present, forever grateful and proud to be your dad. Happy Birthday Love ❤️
It is only through God’s grace and mercy and a 12 step fellowship that I’m standing here today. A decade ago I was so broken, hopeless and thought my life was completely over. My life is completely different now and I’m filled with so much gratitude. If you are struggling, never stop trying, I promise you there is a better way.!!
