“Your work cannot erase your rights.”
In Budhadev Karmaskar v. State of West Bengal (2011), the Supreme Court of India affirmed that sex workers are entitled to dignity and constitutional protection under Article 21.

The judgment reinforced a fundamental principle of constitutional law:
rights belong to individuals, regardless of their profession.

A landmark moment in India’s human rights jurisprudence.

Can WhatsApp chats be used as evidence in court?
Yes,
In India, WhatsApp messages can be admissible as legal evidence.

Under Section 65B of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872, electronic records including WhatsApp chats, emails, and digital files, can be presented in court if their authenticity is properly verified.

The Supreme Court of India clarified this in landmark cases such as:

• Anvar P.V. v. P.K. Basheer (2014)
• Arjun Panditrao Khotkar v. Kailash Kushanrao Gorantyal (2020)

These judgments established that electronic records must generally be supported by a Section 65B certificate, confirming the authenticity and integrity of the digital evidence.

This means a screenshot alone may not always be enough, courts may also examine metadata, timestamps, and device records.

As communication increasingly happens online, digital messages are now frequently used in disputes involving contracts, financial transactions, harassment, and criminal investigations.

In simple terms:
Your WhatsApp messages can become legal evidence.

Did you know menstrual health is now a Fundamental Right in India?

On 30 January 2026, the Supreme Court recognised menstrual health and hygiene as part of the Right to Life and Dignity under Article 21.

This means schools must provide free sanitary products, clean toilets, water, and safe disposal systems.

The Court made it clear, equality cannot ignore biological realities.

Recognition is powerful.
Now the real question is implementation.

What do you think, will this change things on the ground?
