Welcome to Like A Hero — a hobbyist 3D printing channel focused on real-world FDM printing, tabletop miniatures, and the fun (and occasional fails) of learning the craft.

I’m a guy who turned his garage and then, office into a miniatures workshop. This channel documents the entire journey: dialing in printers, testing filaments, fixing common problems, printing custom miniatures and tabletop gaming, and sharing the little wins and lessons along the way.

Whether you’re new to FDM, deep into minis, or just love the problem-solving side of the hobby, you’re in the right place.
I read every comment and reply to as many as I can. Drop your questions, your fails, or your favorite prints — let’s build this community together.

I am having such a great time assembling these and listening to “Battle of the Fang” I might have a huge audible problem. These damn books aren’t cheap.

Even though I didn’t mirror the objects for variation I was still able to glue the parts slightly different to create some dramatic poses. I’ll show them all in detail in Sunday’s video! Subscribe so you don’t miss it!

So for my next video, its Mighty Wulfen time! I need your help deciding how load out for my proxy space Viking wulfen. (I know hammers and shields are meta but what would look the coolest?)

Super excited to show you all a follow up to my last proxy video. I dialed in every possible setting and ran every calibration on my k1se budget printer then filled the plate with a 10 man space viking brick squad. My longest print job to date and a perfect print! #fdmprinting #3dprinting #warhammer40k

I just spent my Sunday morning organizing my MMF downloads. No more buying files until I print at least half of these files. I just found out about the amazing greytide studios. The Primal hounds pack is soooo siiiick! Only thing is i didn't realize it didn't come with torsos or legs so now I have to hunt down some neutral parts.

I need to get a discord for all of us to chat and discuss 3d printing!

Also new video is out today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byg1H...

So umm finally replaced my .2mm nozzle. Def got my use here, should’ve done this a long time ago. How often do you guys switch your nozzles? I’m guessing it’s like 400 hours or so not the 800+ that I ran this nozzle thru. I mostly just use standard high speed pla. #fdm #3dprinting

Thank you guys for for all the support lately. Love seeing your comments and having our discussions. We’re almost done with the Horus Heresy! These books add up but they have been totally worth it! #Warhammer40k

While I’m testing some ultra-cheap terrain PLA for next week (stay tuned!), I want to know: What is your ‘Holy Trinity’ for high-detail miniatures?"

Not going to lie I cherish my Hyper PLA, thinking of grabbing some in a variety of colors next time but the price is much higher than other brands :(

What PLA should I dive into next?

This is taking much longer than I thought but looks real cool and will be helpful for the speedpaints (not so much for the game colors but I had to place them on all the bottles)
