A Sunday Times Insight investigation exposes George Cottrell — a British aristocrat and convicted fraudster known as "Posh George" — as the shadowy figure secretly bankrolling and advising Nigel Farage. Despite having no official role, Cottrell funded Farage's lifestyle, recruited his staff, and transformed his social media presence, all whilst being involved in a crypto gambling platform in Montenegro. The investigation raises serious questions about undeclared financial support and Farage's judgement.
Farage said the benefits did not require registration and that he could not comment on Cottrell's business affairs. Both deny wrongdoing.
A Reform UK spokesman said: “It comes as no surprise that the Sunday Times has chosen to publish this baseless and contrived story, covering a period of time when Nigel Farage was not even an active politician let alone an elected one, given that the newspaper backed the Labour Party at the last general election. Contrary to the story’s tone, no parliamentary rules have been broken. We also understand The Sunday Times has a new podcast to promote, which it seems very excited about. Its agenda should be plain for all to see.” https://youtu.be/IvgYbxx1KnI

For decades, David Sullivan was considered untouchable. A self-made billionaire who built his fortune in adult entertainment and publishing before becoming one of English football's most powerful figures as owner of West Ham United. Now, seven women are speaking out.
In a two-year joint investigation by The Times and BBC Panorama, allegations of sexually exploitative and predatory behaviour have emerged dating back to the 1980s. Women say they were invited to Sullivan's Essex mansion for professional modelling meetings, only to face his sexual demands in exchange for career opportunities.
In his statement on 4 June, Sullivan announced his immediate resignation as joint-chair and director of West Ham, saying the "false allegations" had been "sensationalised" and none related to his time in football. He said he categorically denied the allegations.
He added: "After a lifetime spent building businesses in the adult industry in which I have met thousands of women, it is sadly inevitable that a small number of improper conduct claims are being made against me. I categorically deny these claims." Through his lawyers he said that he disputes Florence’s recollection of the layout of the house and says it makes her claims implausible. Before publication, Sullivan said that he reserved his legal rights in relation to "false or defamatory allegations" and would not be commenting further at this stage. https://youtu.be/M4OcZCIMtYY

Fatal clashes in Minneapolis have cast a harsh light on a sweeping nationwide crackdown by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
This report examines how the operation, fuelled by President Trump’s pledge to curb illegal immigration, is deploying militarised tactics, mass arrests and expanded surveillance technology across the country.
While the administration maintains that these actions reflect voter demands for border security, critics argue that aggressive arrest targets and a surge in federal policing are destabilising communities and reshaping the American landscape. https://youtu.be/YYZE0i0M5kc?si=OSaaV...
What happens when a terrorist organisation stops fighting and starts governing? West Africa is facing a growing security crisis with global implications. At the centre is Jama'at Nusrat al-Islam Wal Muslimin (JNIM), an al-Qaeda affiliate gaining influence across Mali and the wider Sahel. With fragile states, military coups, and foreign interventions failing to contain them, JNIM’s rise threatens regional stability and global security. This video explores how a single extremist group could reshape the political landscape of multiple countries, destabilise Africa’s most populous nations, and pose challenges far beyond the continent’s borders. https://youtu.be/zHkfoyJSV3w?si=TWUKX...

In this Times Originals documentary, special correspondent Anthony Loyd travels to Ukraine to meet the families searching for answers they never wished for, and the forensic teams working to give the missing back their names.
