I use a bike and a camera to explore insights about life, getting older, and the road ahead to make stories for the "Normal Rider" who knows there’s more to the journey than just the data.

Most cycling content is about being faster, younger, or more expensive. This channel is about something else entirely. It’s about the quiet moments at 6:00 AM, the lessons learnt from experience, and the beauty of the world seen from two wheels.

I’m Leonard. I’m in my late 50s, and I’ve realised that the many cycling channels aren’t talking to people like us. Through a cinematic lens, I document the rides that actually matter—the ones that challenge our identity, honour our memories, and offer a bit of honest reflection on the miles we've covered.

I will be releasing my next video: The Mallorca cycling trap (and how to beat it). At 20.00 hrs UK time today.

I am trying something a little different- it’s a vlog without music.

I mentioned it in a post a couple of days ago and there seemed to be a mixed opinion about having or not having music with videos.

Please let me know what you think about this experiment!

I’m currently editing my latest vlog and I was just wondering about music.

I know musical taste is a very personal thing but, generally speaking, do you prefer videos with or without music?

It would be useful for me to know.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately…

There’s a strange moment when you realise it’s not really about the bike anymore.

You started cycling for fitness… or weight… or because someone suggested but somewhere along the way it became something more.

Headspace.
Confidence.
Time that’s yours.

I’m curious—what did cycling start as for you… and what did it turn into?

A heartfelt thank you and a new way to support the channel.

Hi everyone, I wanted to take a moment to say how much I truly appreciate all of you. Seeing the community grow and reading your comments to the videos is what keeps me going.

As you can probably imagine, though, the time and effort it takes to plan the everything, film, and edit these videos is significant. I’m incredibly passionate about making the best content I can for you, and to help me keep doing that at the level you deserve, I’ve decided to launch Channel Memberships.

I’ve created a first tier that is simply a way to support the channel. There’s no pressure at all, but if you’ve been enjoying the channel and finding value in my videos, joining this tier would mean the world to me.

Your support directly helps me dedicate the time needed to keep the wheels turning and ensures I can continue to bring you along on every new adventure.

As a small token of my thanks, you’ll get a loyalty badge next to your name and some custom emojis, but the biggest thing for me is knowing you’re in my corner.

I’m so grateful for every view, comment, and "like," and for those who choose to go this extra step—thank you, truly.

If your cycling has dipped recently, don’t panic.
This is always the tricky season.
Sometimes having a plan for January already sorted takes the pressure off the rest of the year.

If you’re joining the 26-Day challenge, let me know — I’d love to ride it with some of you.

Follow the link for more information and to join the challenge.

A few people asked for early details on the January consistency challenge I mentioned.

It’ll be 26 days of cycling, 20 minutes per day, starting 1st Jan —
designed for riders who want to restart without pressure or perfection.

If you’d like to be the first to know when sign-ups open, let me know in the comments.
(No commitment — just keeping you in the loop.)

Poll:

Would a simple “daily consistency” challenge help you get your fitness back in January?

I’ve been thinking a lot recently about how tough Winter can be for cycling motivation.

So I’m planning a small January thing to help us all reboot together — just 20 minutes a day.
More on that soon.

But if you like the idea of a fresh-start routine for 2026, give this a 👍 so I know you’re interested.

(No sign-up yet — just awareness.)
