Today, July 7th, is Tanabata (七夕) — the Star Festival in Japan 🎋✨

According to legend, two stars who are lovers — Orihime the weaver princess and Hikoboshi the cowherd — fell so deeply in love that they forgot their work. As a punishment, they were separated by the Milky Way, and now they can only meet once a year, on this very night.

In Japan, we write our wishes on small strips of colorful paper called "tanzaku" and hang them on bamboo branches, hoping they'll reach the stars 🌟 Around this time of year, you can see bamboo decorated with colorful wishes at shopping streets, stations, and schools all over Japan. Some people also enjoy seasonal sweets and look up at the night sky, hoping the two stars can meet.
It's said that if it rains on Tanabata, the two lovers cannot cross the Milky Way — so people quietly pray for clear skies, too ☀️

My wish this year: to keep growing little by little, in work and in life — and to share many more peaceful days with you all here 💕
Now it's your turn! If you could write a wish on a tanzaku tonight, what would it be? I'd love to read your wishes in the comments 🎋

I hope the sky is clear tonight, wherever you are ✨💫

Hey everyone, long time no see!

Sorry I haven’t been able to upload any videos since New Year’s. I’m actually graduating from graduate school this year, and I’ve been completely swamped with my master’s thesis, which is due this month… Honestly, it’s been so overwhelming that I’ve felt like I might break down 😢

But the end is finally in sight, and I’m starting to feel a bit more at ease. I think I’ll be able to get back to editing videos soon! I still have a research presentation next month, but it shouldn’t be as intense as this month, so I’ll do my best to create content you can enjoy again 🎥✨

Thank you so much for your continued support. It really means a lot 🙇‍♀️
