A Jiangshi (僵尸), meaning "stiff corpse," is a reanimated undead creature from Chinese folklore. Often referred to as the Chinese hopping vampire, it moves by hopping with its arms held rigidly outstretched due to the stiffness of its body. Unlike Western vampires, a Jiangshi does not drink blood. Instead, it drains a person's qi (氣)—the vital life force or spiritual energy—leaving its victims weakened or dead. Feared as a supernatural being, the Jiangshi has become one of the most iconic monsters in Chinese mythology and horror folklore.

Legenda Rumah Bomoh Siam, Jalan Murut, Batu Lintang

Ramai penduduk lama di Kuching pernah mendengar cerita mengenai sebuah "rumah bomoh Siam" di Jalan Murut, Batu Lintang. Menurut cerita yang tersebar sejak era 1980-an dan 1990-an, rumah itu pernah didiami oleh seorang bomoh Siam yang dikatakan menjalankan rawatan tradisional serta upacara ritual untuk membantu orang yang datang mendapatkan ikhtiar.
Selepas bomoh tersebut meninggal dunia atau berpindah, rumah itu dikatakan dibiarkan kosong. Lama-kelamaan, rumah tersebut mula dianggap sebagai sebuah lokasi yang "keras" kerana pelbagai cerita aneh mula tersebar dalam kalangan penduduk.
Ada yang mendakwa terdengar bunyi seperti orang berjalan, suara berbisik, atau objek bergerak sendiri pada waktu malam. Ada juga yang mendakwa melihat cahaya misteri atau bayang-bayang di sekitar rumah. Dalam sesetengah versi cerita, saksi mendakwa ternampak lembaga yang disifatkan menyerupai kuntilanak atau pocong
