Sahaja Organics Marks 15 Years of Sustainable Growth and Farmer Empowerment
Sahaja Organics recently celebrated 15 years of its journey in advancing sustainable agriculture, empowering farmers, and delivering safe, healthy organic produce to society. The milestone celebration was held alongside its Annual General Body Meeting, highlighting both achievements and gratitude to all stakeholders.
The inauguration was graced by Dr. Harish Hande, Magsaysay Awardee and Founder of SELCO Foundation. Distinguished guests present included Mr. Upendra Pratap Singh (I.F.S), Mr. B. Kenchappagowdru (President, Karnataka State Okkaligara Sangha), Mr. Mohammed Parvez Banthanala (Director), Mr. Mahmood Hussain (Sr. Vice President, NABKISAN), Dr. Seetharamu GK (Director, Centre of Excellence for Farmer Producer Organizations), Dr. Venkatesh Tagat (Former Chief General Manager, NABARD), Mr. Shivanapura Ramesh (President, Sahaja Samrudha), Dr. N. Devakumar (Director of Extension, Rtd., UAS Bangalore), Mr. Narasimha Nakshatri (President, Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat, Karnataka), and Dr. Dr Sadananda G K. (Deputy Director, Centre of Excellence for Farmer Producer Organizations). The event was held in the presence of Mr. @G. Krishnaprasad (Founder-Director, Sahaja Samrudha) and Mr. Somesh Basavanna (CEO & MD, Sahaja Organics), and was chaired by Mr. N.R. Shetty (Founding President, Sahaja Organics).
The celebration also featured the release of a documentary and a book showcasing the organization’s journey and impact. Key highlights included achieving a ₹28+ crore turnover this year, responsible financial stewardship with withheld money distribution, and recognizing the future of farming through Pratibha Puruskara awards to farmers’ and staff members children excelling in their 10th and 12th examinations.
This milestone reflects the collective commitment of farmers, consumers, and stakeholders who have stood by Sahaja Organics since its inception. The organization extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed to this journey of resilience, growth, and sustainability.
