Farewell message of our Beloved Jo to my wife.

Yesterday, August 20, 2024, Arlene Diwa-De Vera, the one whom Jesus loves, beloved daughter, wife, loving mother and a precious friend passed on to glory.

Arlene, you are truly extraordinary. You are such a priceless grace gift in this side of heaven.

Your life could be all kinds of hospital stress and chaos, but you never wore it on your face. Whenever, we come visit, you would steer your focus on the goodness and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and His Finished work.

Beloved Arlene, you have left an indelible mark in our hearts and minds. We really thought that we would still spend many more birthdays, Christmases and Saturday Bible Study nights together …..

Our hearts ache deeply beyond words thinking that you are separated physically from us. But as you know, we learned and still learning to PIVOT…fall back on the truth that we know…. Because the entrance of His word gives light even in the direst of situations.

Philippians 1:21 is you Arlene! “For me to live is Christ, to die is gain. ”

Arlene, your life is a showcase of the magnificence of Christ.

Your life is an exclamation point of God's goodness , kindness and love.

In the Mirror Bible it says, My thoughts are not trapped in my head! They roam free in expectation that I will not be ashamed by any contradiction! My immediate circumstances do not distract from my message! I am convinced that our conversation now and always will continue to give accurate account of the magnificence of Christ. The message is incarnate in me; whether I live or die, it makes no difference.

Christ defines my life; death cannot threaten or diminish that. Philippians 1:21

And for us, your dear family and friends who are in this side of heaven, we take comfort in what Romans 8:37-39 is declaring,

37 On the contrary, in the thick of these things our triumph remains beyond dispute. His love has placed us above the reach of any onslaught.
38 This is my conviction, no threat whether it be in death or life; be it angelic beings, demon powers or political principalities, nothing known to us at this time, or even in the unknown future;
39 no dimension of any calculation in time or space, nor any device yet to be invented, has what it takes to separate us from the love of God demonstrated in Christ. Jesus is our ultimate authority. Romans 8:37-39 The Mirror Bible

Thank you Abba Daddy God for the precious gift who is Arlene as this side of heaven became a better place. Now the other side of heaven is so much beautiful because of her.

His life flows through our ENTIRE being — our entire spirit, mind, emotions, will, AND our physical body.

👉Our body was co-restored with His! What is true of His physical body is equally true of ours. It is a FULLY glorified body!

In Luke 5 is the story of Jesus healing a leper by stretching out His hand and touching him. The word touch is haptomai, meaning a touch that alters, changes, or modifies someone. When Jesus touched the leper, his body was altered and transformed — he was made COMPLETELY healed, COMPLETELY whole.

How MUCH MORE is this true IN us as a NEW creation!!! He didn't just touch us; WE ARE JOINED TO HIM. As His zoe-life, His resurrection life, flows through our entire being, it alters and transforms every part of us!

Galatians 2:20

So here I am dead and alive at the same time. I’m dead to the old me I was trying to be and alive to the real me which is Christ in me. Co-crucified, now co-alive. What a glorious entanglement. I was in him in his death; now I discover that he is infused in me, in my life. For the first time, I’m free to be me in my skin, immersed in his faith in our joint-sonship. He loves me and believes in me. He is God’s gift to me.

(The verb 1συνεσταυρωμαι from suntauroō, is in the Perfect tense, indicating that not only was I crucified with Christ in the past, but I am existing now in that present condition. How can any human effort improve on this. See Hosea 6:2 and Ephesians 2:5 also Romans 7:6 But now we are fully released from any further association with a life directed by the rule of the law, we are dead to that which once held us captive, free to be slaves to the newness of spirit-spontaneity rather than age old religious rituals, imitating the mere face value of the written code. The moment one exchanges spontaneity with rules, the edge of romance is compromised.)
