Hi Everyone! Just wanted to check in because I haven't posted in a while! I'm in the middle of finals so have been super busy with wrapping up the semester! :)

I hope to be posting again next week! And will definitely be sharing me experience as a summer associate in New York this summer! Also please let me know if you want to see any specific videos content-wise. I mostly default to vlogs, but if you want a sit-down video on any topic, please let me know!

Finals are too close for comfort, so join me while I study this weekend! I'll be going live at 2pm est on Saturday, if you have any work you want to get done, throw me on in the background and study with me.

These are just for reference as to what my outline looked like, your outlines definitely do NOT have to look like these. Mine are definitely on the longer end. These probably are of limited use to you if you're not a 1L at Michigan Law with the same profs as me, but this shows how I approached outlining.

I tried to highlight themes throughout, separated by category. For cases, I'd include the main point, and a few key facts. I also included things that my professor would flag as important/interesting in class. I've found that expressing things in a way that your professor would has been quite conducive to doing well. I've included my attack outline for torts too just so you guys can see the difference. My finals were all remote, so I'd have my outlines open to I could ctrl+f for things, and my attack outline was to ensure that I hit all the main points. I include so much in my outlines because most of my finals were typing contests, so the more you added, if relevant of course, the better you did I think.

For context, I've included the following outlines:
Fall 2020
Torts long outline + Attack Outline (This was by far the class I did best in, my name appears somewhere on the Michigan Law website )
Civ Pro Long Outline

Spring 2021
Con Law Outline (Note, this class was my worst grade from 1L, which admittedly, still wasn't below the curve average)
Family Law Outline (This was an elective, and not as rigorous as a normal 1L doctrinal)
Crim Law Outline (This is interesting because I did above the average grade in this class, but I felt like this was the class I had the worst grasp of, and I feel like you can tell from my outline)


*I'm not guaranteeing that ALL the information in these is accurate! Please don't rely on these for your finals or anything. Also, I definitely used OTHER people's outlines in making mine, although I tried to put everything in my words*

Super excited to be making videos again! 🥰 🥰 🥰

My life update video will be going live today at 4:00pm, and I have a law firm interview update video (with footage from the past few months) going into detail about how that ended/my summer work plans, and some vlogs coming!

I've took some time to think about what I want to do with this channel (not planning on dropping out to become a youtuber anytime soon) and I've decided that I want it to be as much of a resource for you guys as possible. I know that in 1L, and even now, I relied on other people outlines a ton (if you haven't watched my how I studied for 1L exams video you should!). So would people be interested if I shared my outlines in a google drive or something? Of course if you don't have the same professors/classes/textbooks, they'll be of varying use but it might help to see how I formatted them/what they looked like!

Hi all,

I'm going through a bit of a rough patch, so I just wanted to say that I'll be a little MIA on here/instagram, as you may have already noticed. This transfer and law firm interview process has been impacting my mental health way more than I anticipated, so I'm just trying to focus on being a functional human being right now. There's a lot they don't warn you about lol. I start classes soon and will try to vlog it, but I don't know when that'll be edited, and I still need to finish my interview week vlogs, sorry! I promise I'll get back to responding to all of you/making content again soon, and I'll probably film a general life update video at some point explaining what's going on since I want to be transparent about my law school journey, but just not now.

⭐⭐Regularly Scheduled Law School Content Restarting Next Week⭐⭐

Hi Everyone! Next week is my Early Interview Week, which is like speed dating but with law firms! I'm planning on vlogging every day and sharing the whole process, since it is one of the biggest parts of law school, especially if you want to go the firm route. So leave any questions you have about it in the comments :)

I'm excited to be making law school content again, and consistently! I still have my transfer announcement video, and I'll definitely be vlogging my move to a new campus. I do have one more fun, non law school related vlog coming from this summer, but I promise, mostly law school content from now on! Let me know what kind of videos you want to see!

Also, I'm so sorry for the inconsistent posting schedule, I've been struggling to think of interesting content for the summer, and I also recently moved back to Toronto so things have been hectic! Hopefully I've got it figured out now :)
