Preparing for a Nurse in Charge or Manager interview requires demonstrating clinical competence, leadership, and a deep understanding of the social care regulatory environment.

Using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) ensures your answers are structured and evidence-based.

Posting the Questions Only Video Tonight and tomorrow will be sharing the example answers.

As healthcare professionals, we are the bridge between our service user's and the care they receive.

Jess’s Rule is an initiative named after Jessica Brady, a 27-year-old who tragically passed away after her symptoms were missed across 20 appointments.

The rule is simple: If a service user sees their GP three times for the same ongoing problem without improvement or a clear diagnosis, the GP must "rethink" the care plan.

For those of us in Social Care Nursing, this means:

Advocating for our residents/patients after the 3rd visit.

Encouraging GPs to move from virtual to face-to-face consultations.

Collaborating on escalation plans rather than passing blame.

Let’s work together to ensure no more opportunities for investigation are missed.

💬 Comment "Jess’s Rule" below if you want me to send you resources and posters to use in your workplace!

I’ve done a bit of a rebrand: I’m Nzi, I work as a social care nurse (Clinical Lead Nurse - Supported Living) Absolutely love my job and want to share more content around the social care nursing sector as it’s not that commonly spoken about.

My motivation came from winning the South East Regional Social Care Nurse award in October 2025 where I thought hmm I want to create awareness about social care nursing and so I’ve have been working on rebranding ‘Nurse Nzi’ quietly researching and planning ideas 💡

This year marks 7 years of nursing for me and for those of you who have followed me know I’ve dabbled in many different areas especially with social media but I’m so excited to share this rebranding with you all and hope you tag along this journey into social care.

I’ll be sharing:
• interview tips.
• routes into nursing/ social care nursing
• Career Progression
• Leadership
