Making your own art doesn't just decorate your walls, it can be the path to learning about yourself, managing your emotions, and a better life. Lydia is the creator and founder of Girls on Country, an arts program specifically for First Nations Young Women. With a Masters in Fine Art at the University of London, Goldsmiths, Lydia was shortlisted for both The Catlin Art Prize and University of the Arts’ Future Maps Award. Lydia was awarded the Fellowship Award at Kala Arts Institute, Berkley, CA in 2017. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
