The Black Prophet

Tohu va Bohu (תהו ובהו), "without form and void" is a phrase in Hebrew found only in three places in TaNaKh. Genesis 1:2 describes the condition of the earth at the beginning of the creation narrative. Tohu va bohu describes a condition like the aftermath of a tornado.

Isaiah 34:9-11
"And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch.
It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever.
But the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion (TOHU), and the stones of emptiness (BOHU)"
&
Jer 4:22-23
"For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, (TOHU) and void; (BOHU) and the heavens, and they had no light."

Genesis describes the END of the original creation as pristine, majestic and magnificent, but why does it BEGIN with words that describe something unsightly and ugly. The language insinuates that at the outset, the earth was not in tohu va bohu in the least. It BECAME this way.

The reality is that Genesis 1:1 does NOT say "In THE beginning..." in Hebrew. It says more appropriately "In beginning" or "In A beginning..."
or בראשית
There's a LOT of ramifications to that notion.

We have no idea about the length of universal existence. It all fits together, and each tiny fragment of information has its part to play. It appears that the BEGINNING may have been more of a RESET of which humanity's current presence is only a tiny sliver of time.

The Black Prophet

Some of the "events" we read in Genesis are latent & forgotten collective memories present in other cultures. It does NOT eliminate the importance of Torah, it simply means that what we see as the real history of humanity is actually a barely visible peek through the keyhole of time.

The name עדן or Eden is not Hebrew but originates in another Semitic language. It's a Sumerian word for a "open country, or fertile plain" and is FIRST found on the terracotta Gudea Cylinders (2125 BCE) approximately 750 years before Moses was born.
Ironically the topography of Eden is the place where Enlil CREATES MAN
👉🏾 FROM THE EARTH with a pickaxe or hoe.

The first creation from a mound of earth, and written IN STONE is on the Pyramid Texts (2400 BCE) is
👉🏾 ATUM. Almost 1000 years before supposedly Moshe wrote about
👉🏾 ADAM.

...and I DEFINITELY won't bring up that Atum's grandsons are Seth & Osiris, and Seth killed his brother Osirus.
JUST LIKE
Adam's sons are Cain & Abel, and Cain killed his brother Abel, and the heir of promise was their brother, named ummm.......Seth. 👀 😲

But you probably won't deem it important enough to look it up so....nevermind.
