B.B. King & Lucille — The Story Behind the Guitar
In 1949, while playing at a small club in Arkansas, a fight broke out between two men.
A stove was knocked over, and the building caught fire.
Everyone ran outside.
But B.B. King went back in —
to save his guitar.
Later, he learned the fight started over a woman named Lucille.
From that night on, he named all his guitars Lucille.
It was a reminder to himself:
Never risk your life for a fight — or a woman — ever again.
Lucille became his voice.
And the blues learned how to speak.
If your guitar had a name… what would it be?

Some men never called it easy.
They showed up every day.
Worked late. Spoke less.
Carried more than anyone noticed.
This Chicago Blues playlist is for them.
For fathers who didn’t need applause — just a place to sit, listen, and breathe.
Turn the lights low.
Let the blues do the talking.

Did you know?
Robert Johnson recorded all his legendary songs in just two short sessions.
No fame. No fortune. Just raw blues that changed music forever.
