I finally filled out my Grade 12 Yearbook after 30 years!

For 30 years, I thought keeping my guard up and staying silent was the only way to keep myself safe. I became an expert at reading rooms and swallowing my feelings before anyone could see them. But leaving those entries blank in Grade 12 wasn't because I didn't have a personality, it was because I was too frozen to speak. I didn't know how to express myself, I didn't know what my true desires were, or what I really wanted to do in life.

It’s officially been seven days since this music left my bedroom and entered the world.

To everyone who has listened, shared, downloaded, or supported the EP or single ‘Growing Up Was Painful’ this past week, thank you from the bottom of my heart. 💜

This album is an emotionally deep and reflective project written long after the storm had passed and what it means to emerge from it, with greater emotional self awareness and renewed appreciation for life and love.

This project is a testament that even the hardest seasons of life can eventually become art, meaning, and healing.

It's my bday today!

Extremely thankful for the journey, the lessons, the growth, and the love I’ve received since moving to Sydney.

When I started my sobriety journey back in 2012, I had one repeating wish, a deep longing to understand what true love actually was.

Sometimes I would sit alone and send that thought out into the unknown. Not really to God at the time. Just… out there.

I was searching for the possibility that real love could exist beyond pain. Beyond the emptiness I had only ever known.

Looking back, that desire feels like a prayer before I understood what prayer was.
And somehow, those prayers were answered, in ways beyond anything I could have imagined receiving.

Sydney changed me.
I learned who I was here - the good and the very bad.
I learned how to feel again here.
I learned how to heal.
I learned what true love felt and looked like and it was nothing like I was conditioned to believe.

I’m still a work in progress when it comes to love but to celebrate life, love, healing, and growing up in this beautiful city, I made some songs. My first artist release in 3 years.

There were many people who helped shape my life before and after Sydney, mentors, healers, friends, family, teachers, and people who were there for me when I needed it the most. People who dedicated their lives to helping others reconnect with themselves, heal, grow, and live closer to their true potential.

This project is also a reflection of them. Their patience, wisdom, compassion, and belief in people changed the course of my life and inspired me on my journey. They all count and are a part of my story.

I hope these songs remind you of the people who helped you find your way, the ones who loved you, guided you, believed in you, and reminded you who you were when you forgot.

hi… it’s been a minute

a lot of you have found me recently through the live performance sketches
so I thought I’d reintroduce myself properly

I’m Ella… or Ellatronix

I make music from whatever I’m living through at the time
and lately… this is what life has looked like

same old city
same beautiful partner
same studio
same life on the outside

but honestly… not the same person

I’ve been spending more time actually living
being out in the sun
around the water
making memories
filming moments
watching once in a lifetime luna eclipses
reconnecting with childhood joy (bumper cars and swings)
and then coming back into the studio and letting it all turn into sound

most of what you see on here comes from that
the in-between
the sketches
the live takes
the moments before anything is “finished”

I’ve also been a lot more offline
working on new music and building my next album
focusing on my life, my healing, and rebuilding my relationship with music

and it’s changed the way I create completely

less pressure
less chasing
and enjoying every moment

so yeah
this is a bit of a glimpse into the life behind the music lately

Hey Everyone! I haven't posted a live performance video for a while because I am working on a new album release - I hopefully want to release some new music by the 13th May - my birthday. But I just wanted to jump on and share some good news!

Just discovered a track I made inside my bedroom studio landed on TV.

“Between Us” was featured in NEXT STOP, United Arab Emerites Dubai and Northern Italy, Season 2, Episode 1 of on Channel 9 and seeing it paired with visuals is a dream.

I created this track from a very specific brief given to me from my publisher for a different TV show. It’s not a track I would’ve ever released as an artist, but that’s the point.

Writing to brief pushes you outside your own taste, into creating for story, for mood, for someone else’s vision.

The Milky Way Carried You Home in the Sunrise of a Cloudy Blanket is a raw, live electronic performance exploring the delicate space between farewell and new beginnings. Inspired by the passing of a loved one, this piece is a sonic soundscape on transitioning to the next phase of our journeys that continue beyond what we can see.

There’s something about losing someone we love that makes us reflect deeply on life and what might exist beyond it.

There were moments in my life where I never thought I would see the stars flicker again, but I stayed long enough to see a whole Milky way.
