It’s been a hard week of figuring out plumbing for the water tank 💦 , getting some new ink, all 5 of us battling a nasty 24 hr stomach bug 🤮, and trying to get some work done during the recovery

Out in the middle of nowhere you can never have too much battery power! 🔋

Out here on our Arizona homestead we got our largest egg from our chicken flock today! This beast is over double the weight of our smallest layer. The long standing biggest egg that we’ve been getting is around 70 grams from our hen named Cheese. Today’s egg is close to 110 and doesn’t even fit the carton! We believe it was laid by Enid, our final hen of 9 to begin laying.
I think everyone is excited to see whats inside. I’ll make sure we show you when we crack it open. I’m thinking it might even be a double yolk, but we’ll see.
Had to make a trip for more chicken feed to keep our 9 hens happy and healthy!! (and show off my vintage jean and Sherpa lined jacket we just thrifted 😋)

The laziest and bestest couch hippo, Juniper, just turned 3 years old
The neediest and most complemented beauty queen, Meadow, is just over 2
and our newest addition,
Humphrey, only 6 months old and has already outgrown his sisters. He’s a great pyranese mix and in charge of guarding the our homestead and chickens (the biggest chickens being Junie and Meadow)
