G'day, my name is Stephen and welcome to the Aussie Jetsetter Youtube Channel.
My goal for this channel is to provide you with a backstage pass to all my travel experiences whether its trip reports of my journey to, from and between or the experiences I get to enjoy whilst there!
I have always had a strong passion for aviation and travel since an early age even before taking my ever flight and indeed international trip at just 12 years old age. Now aged 31 I have had the privilege and joy of trying over 50 airlines and visiting in excess of 50 countries in addition to all Australia’s state's and territories. For nearly 3 years now I have had the pleasure of sharing these experiences on this channel and look forward to many more ;)
I aim to post new videos once or twice weekly typically with flight or train reviews every second Sunday and walking tours and other travel content twice weekly every other week.

Aussie JetSetter 2026 Season Launch Happening Soon!
Hello all and hope you are having a great start to 2026, hard to believe January is gone already and we are already approaching mid way through February already! Also hard to believe just over a week ago now the channel officially clocked over 1 million total views something I couldn't be thankful enough to each and every one of my loyal viewers for having helped me reach such a huge milestone!
Some of you may have noticed my channel has significantly slowed down in activity since the new year with no new videos for several weeks now. I do apologise for this but please be rest assured this is not because of a lack of content to release - quite the opposite after recently returning from an action packed couple of weeks travelling Australia's eastern seaboard!
Instead I am currently working on getting the foundations right for what I hope will be a significantly refreshed and improved and more consistent channel going forward from 2026 onwards, one I also hope with the right process put in place will be more sustainable and efficient to manage as well. The simple reality like with any channel if you can't make it sustainable in the long run you run the risk of burn out and the unintended potential for standards to seem like they are dropping even if you are actually doing more work for the channel than ever before!
Whilst it is always tempting to race straight into editing the moment I get back from the first trip of the year this year I have decided it is best to take as many weeks as I need to get the ground work right to improve the channel for the long run rather than simply continuing the way I was going.
So in the last few weeks I have been working on these following things and more:
--------Migrating to Final Cut Pro------
Whilst LumaFusion has served me absolutely amazingly for the last 4 years I have decided it is time to move on to up my editing game to make my videos more professional along with more in video elements and graphics. Most likely I'll probably also upgrade to a MacBook Pro in coming months to help improve my workflows.
-------Investigating alternative options to Canva for templates and creative elements----
Overall I am rather disappointed with Canva and unlikely to continue this year by not renewing my subscription. Reviewing other options such as Story Blocks or Envato Elements.
-------Music------
Currently in the process of studying other videos in my content genre to curate fresh music choices for my videos. Currently very happy with Epidemic Sound it's just a matter of selecting the right music!
------Re looking at video intros and outros-----
Currently investigating how to best do my video intros and outros going forward. Final decision is still under consideration.
-------Creating a 'production assembly line' for my channel
What this means is that I want my content to be far more modular in design going forward to make editing more streamlined and efficient and my content more consistent for the viewer. This should significantly improve production times as the right elements and templates will be easily found for what I need when I need.
When is the channel likely to re-launch and what is ahead ?
Well currently I am working towards a provisional date of Monday 17th February at 4pm which will represents a move from my long established Sunday 5pm review time slow to Monday night's (4pm Perth time) The season opener will cover my recent flight on JQ 111 a very unique international domestic flight from Perth to Adelaide which originates in Bali! The reason for the change to Monday night is that I see an opportunity to premiere flight reviews on a night little frequented by other flight reviewers as Sunday night is already taken by some major name flight reviewers so I figured it may just be best not to be competing for algomarith space on prime time Sunday night's anymore!
Walking tours will likely remain with there Friday release time slot (exact time tba)
Once again thanks so much for the patience as I implement some significant changes to get the channel right for 2026 and can't wait to start uploading again very soon!
Cheers,
Stephen

Hello all and Merry Christmas Eve all!
Some of you may have noticed I missed my usual Sunday review post this weekend just gone by. Considering I had just one flight review left to release for the year I thought it would be best to hold up a few days and conclude this year's flight review with a very special Christmas Day premiere of my rare United 757-300 'Flying Pencil' experience I had the thrill of enjoying earlier this year between Denver and San Francisco! I look forward to hopefully seeing you all in the premiere 9am Christmas morning Perth time!
FYI I am also premiering two bonus Melbourne transportation videos tonight (Christmas Eve) 5pm and 5.30pm respectively covering Melbourne's iconic historic circle line tram and also a journey on Melbourne Airport's Skybus!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gk8OR... (Melbourne tram tour 5pm)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lp61y... (Melbourne Skybus 5.30pm)
Whilst tomorrow may be the final flight review of 2025 please be advised I haven't fully got through the backlog of this year's content so instead of taking January off posting before the channel 2026 season launch in early February I intend to run a summer holiday season which will see weekly train, bus and even ferry reviews!
My next big east coast trip is little over 2 weeks away so I shall be anticipating next year's flight reviews (and all matters of travel videos) to start in early February. Thrilled to announce after some unfortunate and unforeseen difficulties which made travel difficult in the second half of this year for me hopefully next year is looking hopefully far better especially for international travel with a big Europe (and watch this space also briefly Africa ) trip planned for March through to May so we should see plenty new exciting walking tours and trip reports to start filtering through later in 2026 on top of east coast travels planned for January which will likely be my first few months of content.
During the summer break I will also be looking to do some restructuring to my content going forward - especially flight reviews as I think some work needs to be done to make my videos more watchable and engaging to help Youtube push it to a bigger audience and to also make the channel more suistainble long term so I can get my reviews out in a much more timely fashion too. Any constructive feedback or suggestions will be much appreciated either in the comments below, through Social DM's or even my discord server and I'll be sure to take it into consideration!
Anyway if I don't see you in tonight or tomorrow's season ending premieres I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year and once again thanks so much for all the support of the channel over the year and I Can't wait for a bigger and even better year ahead producing travel and aviation content for you all!
Cheers,
Stephen

Hello all! FYI my latest review covering the inaugural Virgin Australia Embraer E190 E2 public flight is currently placing in the Youtube Top 100 "Hyped Up" Leaderboard for Australia! Currently it is in 61st place but with your help watching, liking and hyping it up (up to 3 times) I am confident we can get this video even higher up the leaderboard.
Once again huge thanks to everyone who has already hyped it up and engaged with the video and for those who haven't got around to yet appreciate your support in doing so!
Stay tuned for a walking tour of the modern mining town of Newman tomorrow premiering at 3pm and then on Sunday I've got another REX flight review between Albany and Perth for you all premiering at 5pm Perth time so stay tuned for that one too!
Have a great weekend ahead all and up the Aussies in the Ashes starting tomorrow here in Perth!
Cheers,
Stephen

Nearing 4,000 Subscribers [ Upcoming Special Live Stream Event!!]
Hello everyone hope you are having a great weekend (or long weekend for us in Western Australia).
Thrilled to announce at 3991 subscribers as of time of this post the channel is quickly approaching the 4,000 subscriber milestone! To celebrate I intend to host a special live stream event in coming days (possibly tomorrow). It will be nice and informal opportunity to reflect on my past, present and future travel experiences and also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you like about aviation and travel! To help guide the conversation I have created a special Google Form questionnaire which anyone is free to fill in as much or as little as they want. Feel free to fire away with your questions and feedback here so I've got some stuff to talk about ahead of time but feel free to pipe in directly through the live stream too! More details to be announced as soon as I lock in a time!
In the meantime feel free to check out my latest Alliance Airlines Fokker 100 flight review between Newcastle and Brisbane just released and linked below and stay tuned for a special video coming soon covering the inaugural Qanas Airbus A321XLR Commercial flight landing into Perth :)
Cheers all and can't wait to see you in the live stream!
Cheers,

Hello all,
Hope you are having a great weekend. Just to let you know unfortunately I've encountered some unforeseen circumstances which meant I wasn't able to put this finishing touches to the review yesterday. If possible I'll try and work to getting it out tomorrow otherwise it may be pushed back a week.
Once again apologies for this but have a great week ahead and I like forward to getting the review out as soon as possible!

This year's posting schedule is now fully populated through to Christmas!!
FYI I have decided to hold off posting any more flight reviews for the next two weeks so I can make way to release the rest of my general content from my January/ February trip to USA and Fiji which will mean 6 videos over the next two weekends.
This week on Friday This Friday I've got a Fiji Mamanuca Islands cruise video! On Saturday we have a walking tour of Fiji's Iconic Monuriki Island which was the filming location of the famous movie Castaway and also a set scene for various scenes of US Survivor. Then on this Sunday we cap the week off with my huge walking tour of San Francisco, California!
Next week is then is Hawaii week with 3 more massive videos to come! Friday we explore all the best sights and sounds of Hawaii's most populated island with a classic Oahu Island Circle tour! Saturday we then have a hiking video of one of Hawaii's most popular natural attractions that is of course Diamond Head! Then we wrap it all up all with another massive walking tour this time from Waikiki!
Thrilled to announce then once these videos have been released I've then got enough flight and train reviews for weekly uploads through to Christmas (and possibly beyond into next year!).
Once again thanks so much once again for all the ongoing support and patronage of the channel as we edge closer to the goal of reaching 1 million views by the year's end and look forward to delivering all the exciting flight reviews and travel content to come!
Cheers,
Stephen

Aussie JetSetter Patreon memberships have just launched!
Thrilled to announce I have now formally established a Patreon page for the Aussie JetSetter YouTube channel which provides an absolutely no obligation but nonetheless easy way to help monetarily support the growth of the channel and its content with some benefits in return as a small gesture of my appreciation. In addition Patreon also becomes the latest social media outlet for the channel and will feature a variety of posts and multimedia (some of which will be public and others members only) so it will be a great page to check out even if you are not a member!
For the sake of simplicity and in recognition that I am still a relatively small channel in the grand scheme of things at this point I have opted for a very simplified one tier membership system with tangibly deliverable benefits. It's $5AUD per month and no commitment (may be displayed as $3.50USD or in local currency)
Benefits will include (but may expand at a later time)
-On Screen mention on all my flight review and select other videos (that haven't been edited yet)
-Exclusive access to Patreon Community Chat with myself and other fans
-Exclusive Access to a Private AussieJetSetter Discord Sub - Server (the overall server still remains free to join :) )
-Exclusive Express Access to flight take off and landing videos within 24 hours of taking each flight going forward or one week ahead of review launch for those already taken but still to be released (either way these can usually take up 6 months or even longer to appear on Youtube as they are released in conjunction with the flight reviews)
-Access to Exclusive Member Only Posts and Bonus Video Content
Feel free to have a look and/ or sign up here!
www.patreon.com/c/aussiejetsetter/membership
PS: In terms of Youtube channel memberships this is something I am also looking into at the moment but I am still trying to understanding how member-only early release videos will work and impact the overall operations of the channel and not sure I've got the time capacity to release whole flight reviews early at this point in time but I will keep you updated on developments here. The beauty of Patreon is I can upload content to it independently of Youtube that's why I am going down this path over Youtube memberships at this time.
Once again a huge thanks to everyone for their ongoing support of the channel and regardless of whether you become a member or not I couldn't be more grateful for all the support and look forward to continuing to make all my content on Youtube freely accessible for all :)
Have a great week ahead,
Cheers,
Stephen

Hello everyone,
Sorry about the lull in new flight review releases over the last month or so but the great news is I've now counted an outstanding 23 flight and train reviews ready for editing and release so the plan (notwithstanding probably a few delays here and there) is to release reviews weekly through to almost the end of the year now and what better way to kick start it all off again with a flight to Bali on Jetstar's A321neo service between Perth and Denpasar. Next week's plan is to release my Indonesia Air Asia Denpasar to Darwin flight review so can't wait to share this one from this reasonably recent relaunched flight that has just begun again!
Cheers and have a great week ahead,
Stephen

Hello everyone from beautiful Darwin up in Australia’s Northern Territory where I have arrived from Bali as of yesterday!
Unfortunately as usually ends up being the case whilst being away abroad I’ve fallen behind on editing. The good news is however I’m about half way through my Perth to Bali review so that’ll likely be out next Sunday. When I was in Bali I also did film and edit a short Kuta walking tour it’s all edited and uploaded just got to the title and thumbnail. I may run out of time to do that today before my next flight so it may come out tomorrow instead!
Thanks for your patience everyone and I can assure the content schedule for the second half of this year is very solid indeed now!
Cheers
Stephen
