A Saturday morning bit of amusement, done while I was editing tomorrow's Middlemarch Meditation. The Guardian newspaper released one of those "100 best books" list. I never take these lists very seriously, but I never get tired of reading them and seeing how many of the titles I have read.

What I did like about this particular offering was the list of authors who were surveyed to get the raw data for the list of 100. Each writer had to name their personal top 10 books, and these individual lists are available at the link along with the bigger list

I've read 33 out of 100 on the list. How many have you read?

This week, in public and private terms, is vying for the title of Most Chaotic.
I am fine. Had a little fight with a virus yesterday and I seem to have won that battle.
But some people who are close to me were not so lucky, and so I will be taking a short break (1 week) just to help hold things steady. Expect my next content to appear on Wed, Feb 4th

OK I am starting a post smash. Don't know if this has ever been done before. I am backing up the post from Pat ‪@BookChatWithPat8668‬ asking everyone who can to subscribe to Nick's channel ‪@DrCrankyPantsReads‬ because he has been making content for months which deserves better than £1k subscribers. His version of the #TrickorTreat tag that just came out is amazing, clearly took a lot of imagination, clever and funny scripting, extra time to film and heaven only knows how much editing.
