Hello there and welcome to the lab!
I'm Asaf, a nerdy PC games enthusiast on my journey through the world of game development :)
I am also currently pursuing my Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering and so I've got lots of experience in simulating physics/mechanics and realized this knowledge can be EXTREMELY useful for game developers!
So, in essence, on this channel I merge my two passions and show you how engineering/math/physics tools can help you create mechanics and logics you simply couldn't without it!
P.S. all the background music I currently use in my videos is by 'SnoozyBeats' - pixabay.com/users/snoozybeats-45164075/
Cheers!
Devgineering Lab
Thanks for the amazing support lately โ especially on the moving platforms video! ๐
After chatting with fellow devs and seeing your responses, Iโve decided to organize the channel into 4 types of videos both short and long form:
Fundamental concepts made practical
Simple but powerful ideas (like vectors, motion, coordinate systems) applied to real game mechanics.
Advanced engineering & math for devs
Deeper tools and concepts for solving complex problems and building smarter systems.
Step-by-step tutorials
Straightforward guides for mechanics that donโt need deep dives.
Miscellaneous
Devlogs, experiments, and other ideas connecting game dev & engineering.
Whether you're just getting started or looking to level up your dev toolbox, there's something here for you ๐ฎ๐
Cheers!
