YOU WERE BORN KNOWING
People often ask me where my philosophy comes from.
 
It comes from this simple truth:
I am spirit based.
I am instinct based.
I am love based.
I am intellect based.
 
The order matters.
 
Most people live in the opposite order. They lead with intellect or emotion first, then wonder why they feel disconnected from nature, from themselves, and from their dogs.
 
I believe we are all born with spirit and instinct.
 
Spirit is your connection to something greater than yourself. It is the part of you that cannot be seen but can always be felt.
 
Instinct is the wisdom nature placed inside you before your first breath. It doesn't come from books, schools, or experience. It is already within you.
 
Love and intellect come later. You learn what love means from your family, your culture, and your experiences. You learn to read, write, analyze, and solve problems. These are beautiful gifts, but they are learned gifts.
 
Dogs remind us of this every day because they never forgot what they were born with. Watch a puppy enter the world. Its nose works before its eyes open. Before it ever sees or hears its mother, it already knows her through scent and energy.
 
Nature begins from within.
 
Humans often do the opposite. We rely on words, explanations, and emotions first. Dogs don't.
 
They begin by reading energy.
 
That is why I always say that you train the mind, but you connect the spirit.
 
Commands teach the intellect.
 
Connection reaches the spirit, instinct, and heart.
 
Everything I teach comes back to one simple sequence:
Trust the spirit.
Respect the instinct.
Love with the heart.
Create with the mind.
 
When you trust your spirit, you become authentic.
 
When you respect your instincts, you begin living in harmony with nature instead of fighting against it.
 
When love is built on trust and respect, it creates security instead of confusion.
 
When intellect comes last, it becomes a tool instead of your master.
 
The problem today isn't that people lack intelligence. It's that many have forgotten the order.
 
We overthink instead of observing.
 
We react emotionally instead of responding naturally.
 
We try to control instead of connect.
 
Dogs don't care how much you know. They care about your energy and whether you make them feel safe. They care whether your actions match your state of mind.
 
Your dog isn't waiting for you to become smarter. He's waiting for you to remember what you already had from the very beginning.
 
Spirit.
Instinct.
Love.
Intellect.
 
When you remember that order, you don't just become a better Pack Leader.
 
You become a better human.

La gente a menudo me pregunta de dónde viene mi filosofía.
Viene de esta simple verdad:

El amor y el intelecto llegan después. Aprendes lo que significa el amor a través de tu familia, tu cultura y tus experiencias. Aprendes a leer, escribir, analizar y resolver problemas. Estos son regalos maravillosos, pero son regalos aprendidos.
Los perros nos lo recuerdan todos los días porque nunca olvidaron aquello con lo que nacieron. Ve a un cachorro llegar al mundo. Su nariz funciona antes de que abra los ojos. Antes de ver o escuchar a su madre, ya la conoce a través del olfato y la energía.
La naturaleza empieza desde adentro.
Los humanos a menudo hacemos lo contrario. Primero dependemos de las palabras, las explicaciones y las emociones. Los perros no.
Ellos empiezan leyendo la energía.
Por eso siempre digo que entrenas la mente, pero conectas con el espíritu.
Los comandos enseñan al intelecto.

Todo lo que enseño regresa a una secuencia simple:
Confía en el espíritu.
Respeta el instinto.
Ama con el corazón.
Crea con la mente.

Cuando el amor se construye sobre la confianza y el respeto, crea seguridad en lugar de confusión.
Cuando el intelecto viene al final, se convierte en una herramienta en lugar de ser tu amo.
El problema de hoy no es que la gente le falte inteligencia. Es que muchos han olvidado el orden.
Pensamos demasiado en lugar de observar.

Claiming the Space
When a dog barks excessively or rushes the door, they are claiming the space.
In many cases, they are also claiming responsibility for you.
To change the behavior, you must calmly step in and claim the space back.
Become the barrier between your dog and the stimulus.
Through your calm, confident presence, let them know that you are in control of the situation.
When you take responsibility, your dog can finally relax.

The order changes matters.
Most people try to lead with what they've learned. I believe true leadership begins by remembering what you already had from the beginning: spirit and instinct.
Dogs remind us of this every day. They don't judge our words or our knowledge first. They respond to our energy, our intention, and our presence.
When we reconnect with nature instead of fighting it, we become calmer, clearer, and more balanced. That's when our relationships (with dogs and people) begin to transform.
Trust what cannot be seen. Respect what nature has already given you. Everything else builds from there.

El orden en que cambian las cosas importa.
La mayoría de las personas intentan liderar con lo que han aprendido. Yo creo que el verdadero liderazgo empieza al recordar lo que ya tenías desde el principio: El espíritu y el instinto.
