JUST FOUND OUT THAT YOU CAN "maybe" reset your Samsung phone if you forget your pin, pattern or password - and NOT LOSE YOUR DATA:
Yes — that is real on some Samsung phones, but only under specific conditions, and it is not a universal Android feature on all devices. Samsung’s own support says the “Forgot PIN?” flow can appear after 5 or more failed attempts, and on supported Galaxy models running One UI 6.1 or later, you can enter a previous PIN and set a new lock method if the previous screen-lock data is still within the 72-hour window
