when i started putting this anniversary project together, i wasn’t trying to recreate HERO. i just wanted to spend a little more time with the songs, and with the version of myself who wrote them.
some of these recordings found new life. some stories deserved to be told out loud for the first time. getting to revisit this album reminded me how much of it has never really belonged to me alone.
