Saturday May 30 we’ll be in Janesville at the biggest charging station in the state (open to all EVs…) the IONNA Rechargery with its 16 stalls.

The address is 2081 Morse St, Janesville. It’s right off I-90/39 at exit 171A.

You can’t miss the orange and blue canopy and the IONNA Blue Alpitronic Hyperchargers that were built in Wisconsin. Home-state, high-powered charging at a reasonable price - $0.39/kWh - can’t beat it!

If you’ve got a question, want to try out DC fast charging your EV, or just want to see what the IONNA experience is all about come on by! I’ll be glad to help! If necessary, we can get an IONNA expert on the line, too.

WisconsEV will be in the house (under the canopy might be a better way to say it) from 1 to 4pm.

These events are a great way to meet some other EV drivers and see some cool electric vehicles - you never know what EVs will pull up to charge.

Any one going to the Milwaukee Auto Show this week?

I'll be there checking out the EVs tomorrow (Thursday) from about noon-2pm. I'd love to stay longer, but it's the only time that fits into my schedule - got a BUSY week.

Toyota has 3 EV models they are doing test drives with. Ford and Mazda also doing test drives, but no EVs from what I could tell.

WisconsEV - The Wisconsin EV Channel

Winter and Construction...our two seasons in the upper midwest. Well, Kwik Charge built during the winter, tossing that on its ear this year. And they're obviously not done.

Wausau and Bonduel hit the NEVI dashboard today as "Under Construction". I expect one other site to hit the dashboard very soon as well.

That gives us 9 NEVI sites that are moving towards chargers in the ground across the state right now.

What does "under construction" mean?

The WisDOT has approved their paperwork for the sites. And NOW they can begin the process of scheduling the crews, preparing the site, installing the equipment, commissioning the charging equipment and then FINALLY open them to the public. (That's a very overly-simplified timeline)

As we have seen at the other 7 "under construction" NEVI locations that have been sitting for a while with nothing going on, it's just a step in the process.

So 3 (soon 4) in Wisconsin "under construction" (Crivitz is on that board, as well) and 3 in Minnesota (Lake Elmo, Forest Lake, Moose Lake) a little closer to the end goal.

17 Kwik Charge stations now open. I'd guess that without any big delays (transformers don't grow on trees) it could be up to 24 by the end of July...maybe August?

GREAT DAY in Pewaukee at the ‪@KwikTripKwikStar‬ #kwikcharge Open House!

It was great to see so many members of the Wisconsin EV community come out (THANK YOU!). Super Shout Out to all my channel viewers and subscribers who let me know how many Wisconsin locals watch my channel!

We got to see some decked out ‪@Rivian‬ R1Ss. Got to watch an ‪@harleydavidson‬ e-bike charge and have some great conversations.

I brought out my adapter buffet and answered a lot of questions about the Lectron, A2Z, Amphenol and Volvo/Tesla DC adapters and some of the AC choices too. We also talked about other equipment, charging and our varied ownership experiences.

I saw a ton of EVs (besides the ones above) - Ford F-150 (getting it's first DCFC), Genesis GV60, a bunch of Chevy Bolts, a bunch of Hyundai Ioniq 5s and 6s, Kia EV6, a beautiful blue Polestar 2, Chevy EquinoxEVs, Cadillac Optiq, Rivian R1Ts, a Tesla Model S, Toyota bz and probably a bunch more that I am now forgetting (it was a long day).
