Most people visit the Great Wall, take a few photos, and turn back. Few reach where we did! New video is live — we just walked the complete northern path at the Badaling Great Wall from Tower 1 all the way to Tower 12, reaching the highest point on the wall at 888 meters above sea level.
This is the part of the Great Wall most visitors never reach. Past the cable car crowds and the tour groups, the wall belongs almost entirely to those willing to keep going — and what you find up there is something genuinely worth the climb.
This is also the Beijing series finale. We started at the Forbidden City. We're ending it here. Watch here: https://youtu.be/c4fHYze8TOA
How far would you walk the Great Wall if you had the chance? 👇 And make sure to subscribe to see where we’re going next in our next series – It’s shaping up to be the most epic so far!

Japan’s cherry blossoms have some serious competition!
New video is live — we’re exploring the Haitang Flower Creek, Beijing’s "secret" spring paradise. While many people compare this explosion of pink to Japan, these are actually a distinctly Chinese variety of flowering crabapple trees.
In this walk, we explore the heart of Wangjing, known as Beijing’s "Silicon Valley" and home to one of the largest Korean communities outside of Korea itself.
If you want to see a different side of Beijing’s urban sprawl, this 4K walk is for you.

Ever stood where emperors prayed to heaven?
New video is live — walking through Beijing's Temple of Heaven, the 600-year-old ritual complex where Chinese emperors performed ceremonies that determined the fate of millions.
We explore the iconic Hall of Prayer (that blue-roofed building you've seen in every Beijing photo), the mystical Echo Wall where whispers travel 200 meters, and the exact spot emperors stood to communicate with the divine.
This place is MASSIVE. 273 hectares. Nearly 4x bigger than the Forbidden City.

New walking video is LIVE! Have you ever wondered what it's like to walk along China's most powerful road? Welcome to Chang'an Avenue.
This isn't just any street. It's the 10-kilometer boulevard that runs straight through the heart of Beijing's political core — past Zhongnanhai (CCP headquarters and where China's top leaders live and work), through two security checkpoints, right up to Tiananmen Gate and Square.
And we walked the entire thing. In the rain. With an umbrella. ☔
The rain cleared the usual crowds, leaving behind something quieter and far more atmospheric — wet pavement reflecting the red walls of Zhongnanhai, guards standing at attention in the downpour, the sound of rain echoing off the National Centre for Performing Arts' titanium dome. This is Beijing at its most powerful. And its most peaceful.

New video is live NOW! 🇨🇳 - If you’re looking for the true soul of old Beijing, you’ll find it at Shichahai.
While the rest of the city rushes toward the future with skyscrapers and high-speed rails, Shichahai feels like a world that has perfected the art of slowing down. It’s a stunning network of three ancient lakes—Xihai, Houhai, and Qianhai—all tucked away in the heart of the city’s historic Xicheng District.
Walking here at night is a masterclass in atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for a quiet bench on the shores of Xihai or the vibrant energy of the Houhai waterfront, Shichahai is where the city comes to breathe. It’s not just a scenic spot; it’s a mood that captures exactly what makes Beijing so special. If you haven’t visited yet, put this at the top of your list. There is simply nowhere else like it.

New Beijing walking video is LIVE! 🇨🇳
Most people visiting Beijing go straight to the Forbidden City — and walk right past the imperial garden next door that's been there for over 1,000 years. 👀
Beihai Park was the private retreat of Chinese emperors for 500 years, closed to everyone outside the imperial court. Marco Polo visited and described the palace here as "the greatest that was ever seen." It only opened to the public in 1925.
In our latest walk we take you inside — across Yong'an Bridge onto Jade Island, past the iconic White Dagoba, through the Long Corridor, along the northern shore past the Nine-Dragon Screen and Five Dragon Pavilions, and into some of Beijing's most beautiful hidden gardens.
Turn on CC for historical context, travel tips, and facts throughout the walk.
Which part of the walk are you most looking forward to? Drop a comment on the video — would love to know! 🙏

Beijing is definitely one of those cities that blend ancient with modern quite well. That being said, what do you prefer? The hundreds of years old hutongs streets or the modern neon-lit skyline in the CBD? Vote below!

Welcome to the "Cyberpunk" heart of Beijing. 🌃 Tonight, we’re stepping out of the ancient Hutongs and into the neon-lit future of the Guomao CBD. This is the most expensive square mile in China. A vertical city of glass and steel that generates 25% of Beijing’s tax revenue from just 0.5% of its land. From the gravity-defying "Big Pants" CCTV headquarters to the luxury towers where rents hit 40k USD a month, this 58-minute immersive walk is best experienced on a 4K screen with the volume up. No music, no talking—just the real pulse of modern Beijing at night.
