I want you to imagine that a child makes a mistake.

What is a parent's first reaction?

Is it condemnation?

Or is it to kneel down beside that child, to point at what went wrong, and gently show them how to make it right?

I think most of us know the answer.

Most of us would say: Help the child. Show the child. Teach the child.

So why is it that when we make mistakes, we imagine God standing over us with condemnation in His hands?

His posture towards us even when it's our fault is to point us towards a better path. Always!
