Fiacre (fee-AH-kruh) Farmstead
Named for St. Fiacre, patron saint of farmers, Fiacre Farmstead is rooted in stewardship — caring for the land, the animals, and the people who visit here.
We raise heritage sheep, pigs, and pastured poultry using regenerative practices that restore soil health and work in harmony with the natural landscape.
Fiacre Farmstead is a place for local families, curious learners, and future homesteaders to reconnect with the rhythms of real farming.
Our small-stature heritage sheep are especially suited for homesteads and silvopasture systems. They are efficient grazers that thrive around trees without damaging them. They’re as practical as they are charming.
In the coming seasons, we plan to expand into farm stays and hands-on learning experiences for those who want to better understand regenerative agriculture and traditional land management.
At Fiacre Farmstead, we believe farming isn’t just production — it’s partnership.

So you might see some changes around here!
1. We bought a fixer upper farm
2. We changed our name!
Don’t worry, the content will remain the same- farming, homesteading, gardening, animals etc.
So what’s the deal with this strange name??
After much discussion, we settled on the name Fiacre Farmstead. The farm is named after Saint Fiacre, a 7th-century Irish monk widely known as the patron saint of gardeners, herbalists, and those who care for the land. His legacy is closely tied to healing—both of people and of the natural world—through quiet stewardship, medicinal gardens, and a life devoted to service and simplicity.
The name truly feels as though it chose us. Years ago, we found an old statue of Fiacre at a closing sale for a landscape supply company and brought him home, where he lived in our food forest for many years. Now, as we settle into our new farm, we feel his story will continue to shape and guide our vision. Saint Fiacre is known not only for his sanctity and healing reputation but also for his deep connection to gardening, herbal medicine, and sustainable land care.
Our goal is to heal the land through regenerative agriculture practices—building living systems where plants, animals, soil, and water all work together in balance and resilience. We also hope to create a place where our community can come to experience peace among the animals and plants, learn about regenerative agriculture, and reconnect with nature. Though unusual, Fiacre (Fee-AH-Kruh) Farmstead is a memorable name that carries a meaningful story and reflects the purpose and vision of our farm.
