We're saddened to announce that we will no longer continue to produce content as The Lost Boys.
After almost three years working together, we've decided to part ways in pursuit of our own individual endeavors. Traveling and working together full-time isn't always easy, and we believe it's best for us to separate at this time.
We want to give a huge thanks to everyone who has supported us along the journey. Like we always say, we were just two average guys who enjoyed traveling around Indonesia before producing any content. We never could have imagined what The Lost Boys would become after starting in September 2021.
So from the bottom of our hearts, thanks to you guys for helping us get this far. None of this would have been possible without your likes, comments, direct messages, and donations. We're so happy you took the time out of your busy schedules to watch our videos and join in on our adventures each week.
And finally, a special thanks to Indonesia for welcoming us with open arms since arriving more than four years ago. It's been an invaluable experience to explore a different country, learn a new language, and assimilate to a culture that's so foreign from ours. Our travels in Indonesia will be something we cherish for the rest of our lives, and the Indonesian people will always hold a special place in our hearts.
We’ll have video messages to follow soon here on our channel.
Hey guys we went back to Sumatra and we’ve got two new videos coming out starting next week! One from Pekanbaru and one from Tanjung Pinang. We’ll see ya next week 🤙🏼
On February 12th, 2023 we departed Jakarta, Indonesia for our motorbike trip across Sumatra. Our goal was to reach the "0 KM" marker at the northern tip of the island, which is recognized as the start of country. We extensively explored seven of Sumatra's provinces and visited five smaller exterior islands. Our route including ferries totaled over 5,000 km, but our motorbike odometers read more than double that number. We completed the journey on November 14th, 2023 after spending more than 200 days on the road and taking two breaks. Since posting our last video, all of our content has finally been released from the trip.
Sumatra is the sixth largest island in the world, and due to the nature of our style of traveling, it was a big undertaking which we definitely underestimated. We’d be lying if we said we enjoyed every moment, and there were many highs and lows that we experienced both on and off camera. Overall, it was a huge challenge trying to balance producing our content + growing our business, all while traveling this wild island by motorbike. But throughout the journey we had countless invaluable experiences, from making new friends to understanding different cultures. We learned more about ourselves while growing as individuals, and we’ll always look back on this as the trip of a lifetime.
We want to give a special thanks to our sponsors for making this trip possible: Kawasaki Indonesia, Syndicate Motor Indonesia, Coriaz Motoadventure, SHAD Indonesia, Rumah Ban Motor, Omegamoto, Osopro, and Decathlon Indonesia.
Thanks to the wonderful people of Sumatra for your kindness and hospitality.
Thanks to our brother Antonio for joining us during the first part of the trip.
Thanks to our assistant Wikha for helping us manage our business while we’re on the road.
Thanks to our family and friends back in the US who are always there for us, as we pursue a life on the other side of the world.
Finally, thanks to all you guys for supporting us along the way. We couldn’t have done it without you.
Our Sumatra documentary is premiering this Friday. Countless hours have gone into editing this project over the last month. We hope you enjoy and we'll see you in the live chat!
Hey guys, we were invited to go on Kick Andy and the episode aired last night on Metro TV. You can find the full episode here. (The entire interview is in Indonesian so we did our best)
We appreciate all of your support over the last 2.5 years and helping us to get this far. It was an honor to be invited on one of the biggest talk shows in Indonesia. Bang Andy is a renowned journalist and we really enjoyed our time on the show.
Thanks again everyone and we hope you enjoy the interview 🙏🏼
