Have you ever tried eating at a standing soba noodle place?
It’s quickly served, inexpensive, and tasty.
“Tomiharu” is one of my fav places I highly recommend.
They have a variety kinds of menus with some toppings as well, and be sure to decide what to order in advance.😋
They all look so good.
This is Iberian belly pork with buckwheat noodles topped with Japanese onion, raw egg and deep fried sardine.
You can choose the noodles from buckwheat, udon and flat udon.
The harmony between the sweet pork fat and the soy sauce base broth is absolutely delicious.🤤

Try some hot soup soba with a lot of seaweed. ¥560 $4
It is the best menu for a diet that is low in calories, low in fat, and difficult to raise blood sugar levels (low GI).
The cloudy water is the water used to boil the soba noodles.
It’s packed with nutrients, so be sure to drink it.😉

This is my secret spot in Harajuku located along a small alley, so must be undiscovered by tourists yet.
They offer great lunch combo meals “teishoku” at affordable prices.
The deep fried chicken teishoku comes with three big karaage, rice, miso soup and two side dishes.
It’s only ¥830 which is $5!!!!
Harajuku is one of the hardest places to find a good restaurant because it is touristy spots.
So here is kind of hidden gem.😉

My husband and I ordered all of them for lunch on Sunday.
The shrimp ramen 🍜is its specialty menu. The surface is piled high with shrimp.🦐🦐🦐🦐
It is often a hot topic on SNS as "the number of shrimps in Japan".

The Japanese food culture has been evolving with our own style.
Have you ever tried Japanese style pasta??
It might not be well known by overseas tourists yet, but local Japanese love it.
The “ kabeno ana” was founded in 1953, which is known for the birthplace of tarako pasta.
I tried the originated tarako pasta with extra perilla with natto.
I also add some cheese and Tabasco which were soooo good.😋😋😋😋
