It was a bit of a long night with Zoe last night. She's absolutely fine, and you can see here she's just happy to be on my lap. Much to the annoyance of her older sister who is used to having primary lap privileges whenever she wants.

To help protect the surgical site, Zoe needs to wear her cone at night so she doesn't accidentally bump her head or get the sutures caught up in anything. Last night was a lot of hearing her cone bump into her crate while she tried to move around and get comfortable.

This morning she acted much more like herself. Still a *bit* groggy, but she was moving around much more confidently, if a bit cautiously, ready for breakfast.

Looks like she should make a full recovery pretty quickly.

My parents are watching Zoe (and her sister Amy) while I am traveling for work, but I'll try and get a few more updates out.

I get all kinds of comments, and most of them are great.  Sometimes they are weird and random. Once in a while I get a chuckle.  

Rarely I get one that gives me an emotional response. Heck some comments feel like a waste of my (and their) time that I'm not really quite sure how to respond to. Last week I posted a video to announce The Uncarved Block at https://youtu.be/xZ3FfRZ5Bqs and I'm pushing the submission out a week, to Thursday the 20th to see if we can get some more submissions from folks.

For anybody looking to remix some music and/or art, I'm setting up The Uncarved Block as a forum on my Discord server. The goal is to provide a place for people to take a track or idea, and remix it into something new, and get some feedback from the community on what worked well, options for other ideas, and suggestions for what to do next. This will come together as a Soundcloud playlist to put all of the tracks together and a live stream to go over as many tracks as possible to listen to as a group and provide some constructive feedback on what to do or try next.

A few people reached out to ask what was going on with products magically popping up on my channel, oh... and why are King Charles Cavalier Spaniels hitting my YouTube shorts... well the dogs are easy. I posted a single short 4 years ago of my two dogs and thought nothing of it, but somebody out there asked for more videos of the two dogs, so I figured why not. I'll probably get some music related stuff going there more frequently eventually, but at the moment quite a few people are enjoying seeing Amy and Zoe.

For those who might have noticed the products showing up... as a birthday present, my sister took her time to setup a bit of a shop for me, and we're starting to see some of the products go live here on YouTube. Just something to test out, and see how interfaces work to hook YouTube into Shopify. She has her own products as well, in particular she's written two novels, and a lot of you may not be aware, but I illustrated a children's book that she wrote. If you seen any of the Somnium swag, that's the book she wrote, and I helped her master the audio for her audio book. The Angria swag is from the children's book that I illustrated for her.

Alright, this was quite a bit of work to put together, but also kind of lazy to wrap up. I did this on the Dirtywave M8. It's just 8 bars, across 8 tracks technically, but a lot of automation and generative randomness going on here to keep it interesting, and wild. In fact each play through is slightly different even. So what is uploaded is just what happened to get rendered... I told you it was kind of lazy.

So... a lot of little micro editing management of the randomness, but I basically just arranged it into what I thought would make for enough of a compelling track. Definitely a bunch of fun techniques here, and only four of the tracks truly have randomness going on... the other half are just played straight. I probably could've gone a bit more wild, but it seemed like a good idea to have some semblance of stability.

So yeah, the zip file here is an M8 project... should be easy enough to load up if you've got an M8 or the headless M8. Enjoy!
