Black Adytum

There’s something worth noting about Passover, resurrection, and the position of the Sun — especially when viewed through a symbolic and sidereal lens.

Passover is already a story of captivity and release.

Israel is held in Egypt under bondage, and then led out through a threshold — out of confinement, out of a death-marked condition, and into movement toward life.

In later Jewish symbolism, Passover falls in Nisan, a spring month associated with Aries, the ram, and the full moon of that season. That places the Exodus story in a wider pattern of liberation, emergence, and release.

That matters, because the resurrection narrative later unfolds in this same seasonal window.

In tropical astrology, that window points toward Aries — emergence, ignition, declaration, new life.

But in sidereal astrology, the Sun during this period is usually still in late Pisces.

More specifically, it often falls in Revati, the final nakshatra of the zodiac.

Revati carries a distinct meaning:

• safe passage
• protection during transition
• guidance between worlds
• completion before a new cycle begins

Its ruling power is often described as a guide or shepherd — one who leads beings safely through uncertain terrain, especially at the end of a journey.

That changes the tone completely.

The resurrection, in this framing, is not only about rebirth.

It is about being led through.

Not just life returning —
but life being brought out of what held it.

That also matches the Exodus pattern:

• captives in Egypt
• a people led out
• a crossing through danger
• release into a new condition

There is even a Gospel passage describing tombs opening and many being raised, not just one. Read symbolically, this reflects not only a single resurrection, but a broader release from confinement — life emerging from the domain that held it.

This also connects with the line that he descended first, and then “led captivity captive.” Not simply rising, but entering the depth and returning as one who guides others out.

That aligns closely with Revati:

Not just the end —
but the escorted passage.

Not just return —
but being led through.

And this pattern appears in older solar traditions as well.

In ancient Egypt, Ra passes through the underworld each night before rising again. In Mesopotamia, Shamash is not only a solar god of light and justice, but also associated with authority in relation to the underworld. In both cases, the Sun is not merely a bright object in the sky, but a power that descends, passes through hidden regions, and returns with order, judgment, or renewed life.

So this pattern is larger than one tradition alone:

descent
confinement
passage
return
release

Seen this way:

Passover / Egypt / Nisan / Aries → captivity, liberation, being led out, the breaking open of movement
Pisces / Revati → the guided crossing, the hidden phase, the shepherding through, the safe passage out
Aries → the visible emergence, the declaration, the life fully returned

So the resurrection rests at a threshold:

not only the burst of new life,
but the passage out of what held life captive.

The shepherd phase.
The crossing phase.
The moment where the light is no longer lost.
