“El Roi — The God Who Sees”
There are moments in life
when you feel unseen.
Overlooked.
Forgotten.
Left behind.
Like your story is happening
in the background while everyone else is being noticed.
What Scripture Shows Us
In Genesis 16,
Hagar finds herself alone in the wilderness.
No voice.
No power.
No place to belong.
Not in a palace.
Not in a place of worship.
But in a place of rejection, fear, and exhaustion.
And there—
God meets her.

The Revelation
In that moment, she says:
“You are the God who sees me.”
El Roi.
This wasn’t just a name
it was a realization.
God saw her
when no one else did.

Hagar is the only person in the Old Testament
to give God a name.
