🌊 Monday Motivation for Every Crewmember 🚢

Happy Monday, Crewmembers!

A new week means a fresh opportunity to grow, improve, and move one step closer to your goals. Whether you’re onboard working long hours, waiting for your next contract, or preparing for your very first embarkation, remember this:

Every successful seafarer started exactly where you are today.

The long shifts, homesickness, sacrifices, and challenges are all part of building a better future for yourself and your family. Keep showing up with professionalism, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. Your consistency today will create the opportunities you’ll be thankful for tomorrow.

Don’t compare your journey to someone else’s. Stay focused, stay humble, and never stop improving your skills.

Your next contract, your promotion, or your breakthrough could be closer than you think.

Have a safe, productive, and blessed week ahead.

⚓ Keep sailing. Keep believing. Keep moving forward.

God bless all our hardworking crewmembers! 🙏

🎉 I’m so excited to share some good news!

Tomorrow morning (US time), my very first YouTube collaboration will be published with Doug & Leah of ‪@GoTravelLife65‬ 🚢

We talked about an important topic that many cruise guests have asked:
Do automatic gratuities really help cruise ship crew members?

As a former Royal Caribbean crew member with 10 years of onboard experience, I was honored to contribute to this discussion and share verified information based on my experience and conversations with current crew.

A huge thank you to Doug and Leah for inviting me to be part of this collaboration. It was truly a pleasure working with you both!

I hope you’ll watch the video when it goes live and join the conversation in the comments. I believe it will help many travelers better understand how the gratuity system works and why it’s such an important topic for the hardworking crew behind every cruise vacation.

Stay tuned! I’ll share the link as soon as it’s live.

Thank you all for your continued support! ❤️🚢

To God be the glory 🙏

If you were applying for a cruise ship today, which position would you choose?

👨‍🍳 Galley Utility
✅ Great path to becoming a Cook or Chef

🚢 NEW VIDEO IS LIVE! 💰

Have you ever wondered how much cruise ship crew members really earn?

In this video, I break down the estimated salaries from the lowest-paying positions to the highest-paying jobs onboard. I’ll also explain the benefits many crew members receive, such as free accommodation, free meals, and airline ticket assistance (depending on the company).

But here’s something even more important: don’t look at the salary alone. I also talk about the reality of working on a cruise ship—the workload, long hours, homesickness, and what you should expect before applying.

Whether you’re a first-time applicant or planning your next contract, I hope this video helps you make an informed decision.

📺 Watch it now and let me know in the comments:

🚢 Cruise Ship Interview Tips That Can Help You Get Hired!

A great resume can get you an interview—but your interview performance can determine whether you receive the job offer.

Here are a few reminders before your interview:

✅ Know your resume. Review your work experience, responsibilities, and achievements. Be ready to explain everything you’ve written.

✅ Research the company. Learn about the cruise line, its values, and the position you’re applying for. It shows you’re genuinely interested.

✅ Practice speaking in English. Most cruise ship interviews are conducted in English. Speak clearly, confidently, and don’t be afraid to ask for clarification if needed.

✅ Dress professionally. Wear clean, neat, business attire. First impressions matter.

✅ Prepare for common interview questions. Practice answering questions like:
• Tell me about yourself.
• Why do you want to work on a cruise ship?
• What are your strengths and weaknesses?
• Why should we hire you?
• How do you handle difficult guests or stressful situations?

✅ Highlight customer service and safety. Cruise lines value candidates who can deliver excellent service while following safety procedures.

✅ Show a positive attitude. Smile, maintain eye contact, and answer honestly. Recruiters are looking for someone they can trust to work with guests and crew.

💡 Remember: Don’t memorize answers word for word. Understand what you want to say so your responses sound natural and confident.

Every interview is a learning experience. Even if you don’t get selected the first time, use the feedback to improve and come back stronger.

Good luck to everyone chasing their dream of working on a cruise ship! 🌊⚓
