Official Welcome: Prince Rahim Aga Khan was received by President Macron at the Élysée Palace for a luncheon, marking the start of his visit.
Accompanying Delegation: He was accompanied by Prince Irfan, Prince Sinan, Prince Iman, Prince Hussain, and Prince Aly Muhammad, along with other community and Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) leaders.
Agreements Signed: Three agreements were signed at the Élysée Palace, including a declaration of intent for cooperation between the French Republic and the Ismaili Imamat, and a declaration of intent for cooperation in the Indian Ocean region.
Strengthening Relations: The visit aims to strengthen long-standing relations between France and the Ismaili Imamat, encompassing multiple decades of cooperation in various sectors. This includes over 60 projects in Africa, South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East.
Paris Peace Forum: The AKDN is a founding member of the Paris Peace Forum.
Historical Ties: The Aga Khan V's family has close ties with France dating back 75 years.
