Today's metal detecting find is a brass flat button featuring a distinctive mercury-gold plating (flecks left on the front). Back stamped TREBLE GILT ORANGE, which dates the button between 1796 to 1840. (dug with Nokta Legend 2)

Went detecting to an out of town urban park - thought we might find a largie or two but NOSIREE !!! John dug a Hannah Montana key (I'm jealous) and I dug 22 pennies (3 young QE2 '62, 63, 64) 2 quarters (RCMP edition) and a knock-off Hotweels. (Nokta Legend 2)
