I would like to clarify my stance on the following doctrinal points:

A.) I do not believe you need to sow money to receive deliverance. That teaching can cause major damage to people’s lives. And that doctrine needs to be outright rejected.

B.) I do not believe that Christians can be demonized, as in have demons dwelling in them. Christians can be attacked but not possessed. They sometimes need deliverance but never full-on exorcism.

I know many Christians around the word hold those positions. If that’s you, you’re not my enemy and that doesn’t mean you’re not a Christian. But I find those ideas to be as damaging as they are unbiblical. Because I value your trust, I needed to make that abundantly clear.

While I have a variety of guests on my podcast with a wide range of beliefs, I think it’s also important for me to be clear about points of disagreement, so that there’s no confusion among those who trust me as a leader and receive my teachings.

Please know that this statement is absolutely not being issued in response to any criticism or social media noise. I want you to know that no critic has even the smallest measure of influence over me or God’s ministry - and they never will.

Here’s why I’m addressing the matter this time: the truth is that yesterday, I received a phone call from a trusted voice in my life who lovingly and respectfully brought to my attention that my stance on the aforementioned doctrines wasn’t clear enough during a podcast interview I conducted last week. The lack of clarity is my fault, and I sincerely apologize. Please forgive me.

As we continue to pursue unity within the body of Christ, we must avoid demonizing those with which we have secondary disagreements while also being clear, for the sake of God’s people and God’s Word. While I stand by my goal of Biblical unity, I just felt it necessary to be abundantly clear on what I teach and believe regarding those two doctrines. Moving forward, I will be clearer.

Thank you for your understanding. This is my first and final comment on this instance. Onward with the work of the Kingdom.
