Bangladeshi Muslim Woman Facing Deportation After 12 Years in Gujarat Following Cross-Border Love Marriage

The Muslim woman, originally named Kajuli, reportedly entered India without valid travel documents nearly 12 years ago after developing a relationship with Anand resident Tarun through Facebook. Following her arrival, she married him, adopted the name Kajal, and the couple now has two sons.

Police say her illegal entry into India has triggered deportation proceedings. Meanwhile, her husband has urged the Government of India to consider granting her citizenship.

According to Tarun, Kajal embraced Hinduism after their marriage and has built her life in India. He fears that deportation to Bangladesh could expose her to rejection by relatives and place her safety at risk.

The case has sparked discussion about immigration laws, citizenship, and humanitarian considerations for families caught in such situations.
