Update on the water damage situation.

Restoration company has drying equipment in. I was there today and it’s hotter than hades due to it running for 4 days now.
I had to contact the company this morning and was told they forgot to call me yesterday to come in and check on how the damage was looking. 🤦‍♀️ It’s not gonna be looked at until Monday now.

My condo management company won’t respond to my email about when they’re going to have somebody come in and fix the damage, so I have to wait until Monday to contact again, as I refuse to do anything unless it’s in writing.
This whole situation is incredibly frustrating that people forget to call, do what they were going to do, or just not respond at all.
I’m thankful I can stay at my parents during this time otherwise I’d be using my emergency fund to pay for a hotel.

Hopefully I can update next week on the situation.
Thanks for everyone’s comments, I appreciate you letting me vent on this situation.

Deidre's Budgeting Journey

So I might be a bit delayed in filming my videos.

It’s raining buckets today and I came home tonight from my parents and discovered a huge leak in my bedroom ceiling. It pooled in my light fixture and soaked my bed. Our condo manager has to get the roof looked at, repaired and any necessary repairs will need to be done to my ceiling. Unfortunately it’s forecasted to rain all week so a fix may not be done quickly.
So needless to say I’m not happy it happened but at least it wasn’t worse.
I may not be at home much for the next week as it’s forecasted to rain all week.
I have a video coming out on Tuesday that’s a quick one.

This is your sign to have money for emergencies, especially if you own a home.

I appreciate each and every one of you who watches and supports.
I know I don’t do as many challenges, make products, have a super fancy set up or super long videos like others do. Some may choose not to watch because of these reasons, that’s fine I’m not going to change what works for my budget and my life.

I’m showing you how I budget and save my money now that I’m debt free, and that it is possible. I am a single person with one income, I hope to inspire those to get out of debt and save money. I have done it myself and I know how hard it can be, so I want this space to be a positive one. Great things are possible for everyone in this community.

Can we achieve this subscriber goal before the end of the year, so I can do a giveaway? 🤞

Deidre's Budgeting Journey

It’s almost Friday 🎉
If you are a prayer or good thoughts person, I could use it today. My parent’s dog ( my buddy) had surgery today to remove bladder stones and polyps. He’s in recovery right now and doing ok.
I know he won’t live forever but I need him for as long as I can.
Hug and kiss your fur babies today!
Thank you all for even reading this. 💕

Happy Sunday!
My fellow Canadians may know who Bruce Sellery is, I used to love watching his segments on CityLine. There are so many amazing videos on this channel that I may share one a week that I have found interesting. Bruce is doing the interviewing most of the time and he is awesome. Go check this one out, it is a great one!
