Nrisingha Prasad Bhaduri

Official Channel of Nrisingha Prasad Bhaduri. He was born on November 23rd, 1950. He is an Indian historian, writer, and Indologist. He is a specialist in Indian epics and Puranas. He started working on the extensive effort of creating an encyclopedia of the two Indian epics, the Mahabharata and Ramayana which is being sponsored by Bengali book publisher Sahitya Samsad and the Netaji Subhas Institute of Asian Studies in March 2012.

He is noted for his scholarly but simple interpretations of ancient Indian epics, particularly the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. He usually writes in Bengali and has written books like Balmiki Ram O Ramayan, Arjun o Draupadi, Krishna, Kunti Ebong Kaunteyo, and many more.

Sanskrit scholar and literarian Nrisingha Prasad Bhaduri received the prestigious Sahitya Akademi award for his monumental work ‘Astadashi’ in 2016.
