Well this came faster than I expected, I guess only thing to do is update where part 2 is at.

Basically buncha IRL stuff happened and will continue to happen that slowed the project a lot, so much so I've come to the decision of waiting for BO7's seanims for more variety because having the same M4/SCAR animations repeated is a bit ehh. Especially for revolvers, damn there's some, so hope the Gravemark .357 turns out great and fingers cross a 4th one from BO7. So a win-win situation.

And for the update on a technical basis, currently at the compiling models part doing rigging, materials and constraints. Some weapons are pretty easy and others take some time.

Forgot to mention, now that the next COD is BO7, won't be having fomo from not using the next Modern Warfare animations. Not dissing Treyarch's animation department, obviously BO6 melded very well with the showcase but the BO2/BO3 alleged weaponry selection won't be as conventional so sticking with MW:19-BO6 animations for part 2. Although maybe animations from older CODs...

Trying a hybrid gaussian splat and skydome method for background footage as the now best way to go. So much better than the laborious After Effects content aware fill method that still has many oddities when there's enough fast movement.

Basically what's happening is that the foreground part of Scud is a gaussian splat rendered in Postshot with the camera imported as an Alembic. The sky was very rough though due to gaussian splatting getting confused, so I masked the sky with a skydome version that's warped to fit as close to the Postshot render with a flow map for some animated looking clouds and smoke in the distance.

I have to admit, I shed a tear seeing them finally play Rebirth Island (Alcatraz) for real and win. Obviously they ain't playing anytime soon, but even just this moment after waiting for 4 years is enough for me.

Alright I budged from using the BO3 ports and tried porting the raw seanim extracts with Maya, and surprisingly it works and isn't misplaced/all over the place like Blender's seanim importer. Guess I've got some plans now...
