Chloé and sometimes Ludvig

Hej hej from the rails! I’m Chloé — a Kiwi travel creator exploring the world one awkward train moment at a time. My husband Ludvig (dry humour, Swedish passport) joins when he can.

Together, we seek out the quirkiest journeys, comfiest cabins, and always squeeze in a touch of luxury when we can (okay, that part’s mostly my idea 😅). We’re all about making travel fun, relatable, and a little bit weird — with a side of scenic magic. 💛

From epic train rides and cruises to offbeat road trips and all sorts of unexpected detours in between, we love showing you what it’s really like to explore the world — the good, the awkward, and the occasionally sleep-deprived. Whether it’s a luxury rail journey, a ferry to somewhere random, or a rental car adventure through tiny towns, we’re here for the ride.

Well. I've gone and made a thing. 🚂
After five Amtrak trains, thousands of miles, and more overnight journeys than most people would consider reasonable - I made my very first digital product.
It's called the Train Snacks Starter Pack and it is $15 and it is exactly what it sounds like.
Inside you get:
✅ A packing list based on what I actually bring (not what travel blogs say to bring)
✅ A routes guide - 14 train journeys I'd genuinely recommend, with honest opinions
✅ A trip planner so you can stop making notes in the back of your email drafts
✅ Train Bingo: Awkward Edition - a bingo card based entirely on real events that I have personally experienced. Haha.
✅ A bonus Notion Template to help you plan your own train trips
I'm a little nervous about this. Making something you can hold (digitally hold) feels different to just posting a video. But I'm quite proud of it and I hope it serves you well on many future journeys.

And if you haven't watched the new video yet - Amtrak, 30 minutes, five trains, every honest verdict - it's live now too. 🚂

Tomorrow. 30 (ish) minutes. Everything.

I'm going to be honest with you - this one took me a while to finish and I am very ready for it to be out in the world. It's the most 'informational' video I've ever made and possibly also the most useful, depending on how you feel about overnight trains and the logistics of sleeping in a tiny moving bedroom.

And I'm super nervous to share... The Train Snacks Starter Pack - my very first ever digital product - also goes live tomorrow. Because the snack situation on a long train journey is a topic I have Strong Feelings about and I finally wrote them all down.

Link will be at the top of the description the moment the video posts.

Big hugs through the air... and also, forewarning: you may finish this video and immediately want to book a train. I accept no responsibility for this. 🚂

🚆 Well... after spending an embarrassingly long time ranking every sleeper train I've ever travelled on... 😅

A few of you have already asked if I'd ever do the same for day trains.

The only slight problem is... I've been on A LOT of day trains. 😂 It would be an absolutely huge project, so it'd definitely be more of a "maybe next year's Chloé creates another ridiculous spreadsheet" kind of video.

So I'm curious...

If I tackled it one day, would you actually watch it? 👀

And more importantly... which daytime train do you think would end up at #1? 🚄

🥹 Little update...

To everyone who's already bought Dad's book after watching yesterday's video... thank you. ❤️

There haven't been hundreds of sales or anything like that (yet 😂), but every single time he gets the notification, he does this little happy dance around the house... and honestly, so do I.

He genuinely can't wipe the smile off his face. He's so incredibly proud that people are reading something he poured so much of himself into.

And somehow... I'm even prouder of him. ❤️

Thank you for making his week.

Over the next three weekends, we've got something a little different.
Three standalone feature films - the kind of videos I've been wanting to make for a while - before a very exciting new series kicks off in July. 🎬🚂
We're starting this weekend with something I've been quietly building for years: I ranked all 21 sleeper trains I've ever ridden (not counting day trains). From a $150 compartment to a $16,000 private cabin. Real tickets. Real opinions. No fluff.
It's up now.
(And yes - if you've been on any of these trains, I fully expect to hear your thoughts in the comments.)

🚐 IT'S LIVE!

We spent a week living in a motorhome...

with my parents. 😅

Four adults.
One motorhome.
A lot of opinions.
A surprising amount of laughter.

Would YOU share a motorhome with your parents for a week? 😂

🚐 Watch now!

🚐 This weekend's episode is the FINALE of our Little Wild New Zealand series 🥹🇳🇿

Ludvig, Mum, Dad and I piled into a motorhome and drove all the way to the very top of New Zealand.

Four adults.
One motorhome.
A week on the road.

What could possibly go wrong? 😂

Who's coming along for the road trip this weekend? 🚐

🛶 Little Wild New Zealand resumes tomorrow 💛🇳🇿

And we’re coming back with one of the most special episodes of the entire series.

My sister and I spent 3 days canoeing down one of the countries longest rivers after a cyclone had swept through the North Island…

Sleeping in tents.
Completely offline.
Very muddy.
Slightly unprepared 😅

See you tomorrow 🛶

June is about to get very exciting around here 👀🚂

Because after months of filming, planning, and travelling to some very remote corners of the world… my brand new youtube series finally begins.

It’s called End of the Line.

A series about taking trains to the very end of the tracks. places that feel isolated, forgotten, strange, beautiful… and sometimes like the edge of the world.

I’ll be riding overnight trains across Australia, sleeper trains through Vietnam, tiny mountain railways through Europe, remote rail lines in Canada, sleeper trains to the far north of Scotland and more.

This might honestly be the most cinematic, story-driven series I’ve ever made and i’m SO nervous excited to finally share it with you eeeeeeeeek!!

First episode drops mid/end of this month 🚂

OKAY… where should we send Ludvig next? 😂🌍

We’ve got roughly one year to plan his next annual “solo” adventure…

So give us your BEST ideas 👀

The only requirements:
– slightly chaotic
– slightly awkward
– potentially a terrible idea

Honestly the worse it sounds, the better.

*yes the mysterious camera lady did somehow appear in the sumo wrestler photo. Very strange.*
