Francis Mesrine is the moniker of Francesco Russo, a Naples-based musician, composer, and producer working within ambient and drone music, shaped by strong noise and cinematic influences.

Originally a keyboard player in a rock band, he began his musical journey over twenty years ago before gradually shifting toward electronic sound exploration. His work centers on immersive soundscapes, slow-evolving textures, and instrumental compositions that evoke dark, atmospheric, and cinematic moods.

To date, he has released two albums, developing a distinct sonic language that blends minimalism, tension, and emotional depth, often focusing on the physical and spatial qualities of sound.
