Hello and welcome to my channel! My name is Karen and my husband and I live on a small farm in the Midwest. I recently retired from teaching elementary school and am now able to enjoy doing the things I love everyday. Whether it's cooking, gardening, quilting, canning, home remodeling, I love to keep busy and constantly learn new things. I also love to teach others about these things. I began my youTube channel to share our family's favorite recipes with my family and friends who would ask for my recipes. Hey, Friends! 🤗 I want to give an update on whats going on since I have many of my viewers asking how I'm doing since I haven't posted a video for a while. I'm having to step away from my channel for a bit. I shared with you in my earlier videos that I was having back problems after foolishly lifting something that was much too heavy for me to move. These last couple of weeks I've been having X-rays and MRI's done to see what exactly I did to my back. The results are not good. It looks like I will be having surgery to try and repair the damage. The surgery will need at least 3 months of recovery time. So needless to say, I will not be posting videos in the near future. Hopefully I have complete recovery and can get back to sharing content with my viewers once I have fully recuperated. Thank you so much for all your kind words and encouragement! I have the absolutely BEST subscribers!! If you are wanting to make sure you get notifications when I do finally post something, be sure to click on the bell underneath the videos. Hey, friends!! Just finished designing this 10" squirrel quilt block. This is my practice block to make sure my cutting directions are correct. I think it turned out really cute! What do you think? Just waiting for some fabrics that I ordered then I'll do a video tutorial and share the free cutting instructions and block layout image!
