This channel is about a reconstruction of a trooper of the 8th Hussars during World War 1. That means we have a look at the evolving from prewar about 1910 up to the end of the war 1918-1920 on several layers.
We will not only reconstruct the uniforms and the equipment step by step and test them but the riding as well. To produce all of the things I will use mostly machines from that period or do it by hand. Besides the explanation and crafting of the equipment we sure will have a look about the history and all kinds of different sources: documents, photographs, movies (yes they were made during the war), diaries, service regulations and so on. Another part will be the history of all kinds of the media which evolved after World War 1 and shapes until today our image of it. And of course comparisons to the other weapon of arms, armies.
So a lot to do, ambition and passion. Let's get it on.

So my friends. I am planning the next episode. THe first one this year will be more of an announcement about what I am planning to do this year. There are quite some great news.
The list of ideas for the videos is ever expanding, sometimes it is hard to decide what to do next. I am working on a plan for the next few videos and what is possible to get into. There is some very interesting stuff. Only it takes a bit much time since there is so much to prepare, think of and so on while the time just flies away.

Another update: The next video is in the making. Hopefully I get it done until next sunday, meaning this week won't be a new one unfortunately. For the coming topic the research is a bit more complicated than usual. Sorry for the slow production these days, I just want to improve my skills and videos to enhance your experience. Only it takes some time to actually do it.
On the same time I am working much behind the scenes to prepare for the coming year, since I am planing to do quite a few special episodes. I want to improve the quality overall and do some more deeper dives into some topics. What that is going to include I am going to mention somewhere in the future.

Good day my friends. As you have seen I was not able to upload a new Video last Sunday. Well, it has been already shot, let me say this.
Unfortunately I got pretty sick out of the sudden, while working on the next video, and since this channel is a one man show it will take a little bit more time than usual for the next video to drop.
So I am still recovering and getting back on track. After that is done the next video won't take too much time until its up. Next videos are also in the planning and research status. Hopefully I can go on working on them pretty soon, so I'll be back in the 2 week schedule. So stay tuned and excited.
