It was virtually impossible to find a hotel room in Newark at 1am. Everything was already booked. The only one I was offered was a posh hotel in Staten Island. That was too far.
We eventually found a motel close to the airport with a free pick-up and drop-off service.
Funny enough, it was the same motel as in Chicago last year when we encountered the same problem. 😝

Once again, I'm stranded in USA. There was a massif thunderstorm. The Newark Airport was not functioning correctly. So my plane was redirected to Richmond, Virginia, for a while. When we eventually came to Newark, I missed my initial plane for Europe. Now, I'm going to spend a night here and hopefully take a plane for Europe tomorrow.
