Chapter 4 of the Soul Eater novel is up. Don't allow the thumbnail of Kanaan and Grady to fool you. This chapter plays out very differently than it did in the game. Upon arriving in Rockland, Tir and his group find the village under attack from the Mt. Seifu Bandits, with Grady's mansion on fire and Grady and Kanaan taken prisoner.

The video covering Chapter 3 of the Suikoden 1 Soul Eater novel is up. This chapter covers the events of Magician's Island. It plays out a little differently than the game, and it includes a small new scene with Leknaat and Luc.

The video covering Chapter 2 of the Suikoden 1 Soul Eater novel is up. Chapter 2 covers from Teo's departure up until Tir meets Futch before travelling to Magician's Island. Teo's departure scene is expanded on, and Tir's first meeting with Kraze plays out differently than it did in the game.

Chapter 3 will be up tomorrow. Chapter 3 covers the events of Magician's Island. It includes a new scene with Leknaat and Luc.

I'll aim to have chapter 4 and 5 up within a week. They cover the events of Rockland and the Mt. Seifu Bandits. That portion of the story plays out completely differently in the novel and it's like a whole new event. They're long chapters, they'll be 20 - 30 minutes each.

If you haven't seen it yet, I've started uploading coverings of the Suikoden I Soul Eater novel. I'll be covering the story one chapter at a time. There are many new scenes in the novel that didn't happen in the game, and the novel also expands on many scenes from the game.

The prologue chapter takes place before the game begins, and focuses entirely on Leknaat and Luc.

Chapter 1 includes a brand new scene involving Tir and Ted before Tir goes to the palace with his father for their audience with Barbarossa.

Chapter 2 and 3 are already recorded and uploaded. They're scheduled to go live on the 22nd, and the 25th. Gives me a little time to get working on chapter 4.

Here's an image many people may never have seen before. It's the symbol of Harmonia, inspired by the Circle Rune. It comes from the long defunct official Suikoden III flash site from back in the day. This image probably would've been lost if not for the Gensopedia preserving it.

Would you guys be interested in some videos covering the Suikoden 1, 2, and 4 novels? I'm thinking about making some videos covering the differences between the novels and the games.

I probably won't make in depth coverings of the entire novels like I did with the short story books though. The novels are quite chunky and each games novelisation is roughly the same length as all of the short story books combined, and I'm not exactly itching to make 6 - 8 hour long videos.

Which stories were your favourites? Which were your least favourites?

Looking back, I don't think I done Genshu or Zamza's short stories justice. When I started making videos on the short stories my intent was to provide short 5 - 6 minute condensed summaries of the stories, but then I got carried away and started doing more detailed coverings. The videos on their stories were around 6 minutes each, but they could've easily been around 20 minutes each if I gave a more detailed covering of them. I might circle back to theirs at a later point and redo those two.

Sorry for the delay. I've finally gotten around to writing up the summary of Gremio's short story. The video is going to be around 70-80 minutes long. Fingers crossed I'll get it recorded and uploaded this week.

It's the last short story in the collection to cover and once it's up we can finally focus on other topics. What those next videos will be I don't know. So drop some suggestions.
