Nigeria officially now has one of the world's sharpest fuel price surges—up ~40% recently—hitting N1,200–N1,350+ per litre amid the Iran-Israel-US conflict driving global oil spikes.

But why is our petrol more expensive than in many countries (even some without their own fuel) that manage stable or lower prices despite the same crisis?
