ASSR Workshop Exclusive: Attend the first ever remix of The Alan Parsons Project 1979 classic, Eve.
Alan Parsons announces that new mixes of The Alan Parsons Project’s cult classic album Eve, will be the focus of his latest Music Production Workshop at ParSonics studio in Santa Barbara, May 29th & 30th.
Eve hasn’t been re-examined in over forty years. This 1979 classic contains many fascinating tracks and artists including the major European instrumental hit Lucifer, and still popular live track Damned If I Do, which was a Top 40 hit in the US. The album also features two singers Alan recommended to work on Dark Side Of The Moon. Claire Torry, on the track Don’t Hold Back, and Leslie Duncan, on If I Could Change Your Mind.
First topic at the workshop will be how to get an album recorded on 24-track 2" tape (at Super Bear Studios in the South of France) into ProTools. What are the processes? What are the problems (and workarounds or fixes)?
This will be a genuine mix session. Attendees will hear the songs track by track, see what repairs Alan may need or choose to make, how he’ll apply 2026 digital processing, and of course, a new balance. Will Alan try to re-create the original, or will he try something new (or, indeed, anything once!)?
Mixes will be created in all current leading formats, Dolby Atmos, Surround 5.1 and a brand new stereo mix.
Seats to the event are offered on a strictly limited basis and will be in-person only. No online seats are available.
Alan Parsons has been offering live Master Classes and Workshops since 2010. In addition to being unique fly-on-the-wall recording and mixing sessions, they are priceless opportunities to work alongside Alan Parsons, observe, ask questions, and ‘hang’ over drinks and beautiful food in the California sun in the hills overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Tickets to ASSR’s workshops typically sell out within days so early booking is strongly advised if you’d like to be part of this particular slice of history in the making.
We regret to announce that our June 18th show in Oslo has been canceled due to unforeseen scheduling issues. We were really looking forward to this event and share in the disappointment this will cause. Thank you to everyone who had planned to join us! We hope to return to Oslo again in the future.
