Our goal should not be to eliminate our struggles, but to develop the ability to have joy and peace despite them!
Psalm 73 interestingly emphasises how the wicked are prideful due to their lack of struggles and common human burdens. It is therefore good for us to have a level of burdens - it keeps us humble and dependant on God. Letâs not strive for a life without struggles or burdens, a life of convenience. They do serve a purpose (James 1:2-4). Instead of focusing on fixing your problems, turn your focus to God and the joy and peace that is available to you in spite of them.
I can testify that it is possible - In verse 21-22 it speaks about how the psalmist behaved when his heart was grieved and I relate with that, I was exactly the same. BUT through that, God taught me how to trust, how to enjoy, how to have peace, in the face of adversity!

If youâre struggling to forgive someone and heal from the hurt, this is the message for you! âWhat if we treat unforgiveness the same way we treat murder?â When âŞ@JohnBevereTV⏠said that, it finally clicked. When God commands us to love others, Heâs not commanding us to feel love but to show love. Similarly, forgiveness is a command to obey through our actions because we have control over what we do and not what we feel. The heart is Godâs jurisdiction and when we choose to obey despite how we feel, our feelings usually catch up to our obedience. Godâs commands are always for our good, He wants to protect us from the consequences of sin. Nothing good can come from unforgiveness, it will only steal from you and it can certainly ruin your life. Donât underestimate the impact of holding on to an offense, it hardens your heart if left undealt with. I think many of us struggle to forgive because we refuse to forget. I too used to believe that I donât have to forget when I choose to forgive but God revealed to me that I wonât ever be set free from what happened to me if I am constantly reminding myself of it and therefore, it is only beneficial if I choose to forget as well. Sometimes wisdom calls for forgiveness without reconciliation but may I remind you that love keeps no record of wrongs (1 Corinthians 13:5). If God Himself will remember our transgressions no more (Hebrews 10:17), who are we to hold otherâs transgressions against them? Jesus forgave in the midst of His pain as He was being persecuted (Luke 23:34), even though this sets a high standard of how to forgive: quickly and unconditionally, it also gives us hope because He showed us that it is possible. Itâs possible to forgive before being healed and without receiving an apology. Your offender is irrelevant to your forgiveness and your freedom. Stop allowing the enemy to keep you in bondage, healing is possible and I pray that you will truly be set free as Jesus intended!
Every storm has one thing in common, they all pass. Itâs often not the storm that makes us want to give up, but our lack of vision for the end of it. When youâre overwhelmed and paralyzed by the difficult days that still lie ahead, remind yourself of the following principle: just one more. Instead of worrying about how youâre going to get through it all, try focusing on getting through just one more. The thing about storms is that theyâre often unpredictable. They can form quickly and come out of nowhere but the opposite is true as well. You never know how close you are to the end and persevering until then seems a lot more daunting than persevering for just one more. One more day over and over again adds up and if youâre going to suffer, you might as well suffer well. We cannot control what we go through but we can always control how we go through it. So get an umbrella and dance in the rain, for our strength, hope and joy is in the Lord.
